With summer in full swing and back-to-school sales already here, July is a great month to find major beauty bargains. And while Amazon Prime Day and Target Circle Week might be over, you can still save big on personal care items like sunscreen, hair color, and deodorant. Here are six beauty items and brands we’re stocking up on this month.

1. Sunscreen
Of course, we always see sunscreen deals just before Memorial Day, but stores also start to offer great deals in mid-July so they can begin clearing out summer inventory. Right now, you can save up to 77% on multiple brands through July 22 at Walgreens, and we’re seeing Sun Bum sunscreen deals on Amazon as well. Since sunscreen has a shelf life of three years, now’s the perfect time to stock up for the rest of this summer — and next summer, too.
2. Deodorant
It makes sense that the best deals on deodorant begin as we enter into the hottest days of the summer. Lume Deodorant was actually created by an OB-GYN for use all over your body and at 30% off with free shipping, we haven’t seen it priced so low all year.
Next, you can get a stick of Dove deodorant at Walmart right now for less than $5. And if you prefer spray deodorant, you can also get a 3.8 oz bottle of Dove Advanced Care Dry Spray for just under $6, too.
3. Hair Color
It’s so easy to let your roots and greys get out of control during the summertime, especially when salon appointments can set you back hundreds of dollars. And that’s probably why we see hair color kits go on sale in July. Clairol was offering up to 20% off on Amazon Prime Day earlier this month, but there are even better deals — up to 54% off — happening right now at Target.
Clairol’s Nice’n Easy Permanent Hair Color, Natural Instincts Demi-Permanent Hair Color Cream, and Nice’n Easy Clairol Root Touch-Up Permanent Hair Color Kit are all BOGO at Target through July 29. Plus, if you have a Target RedCard, you’ll save an extra 5%, which brings your final price down to $3.70 per kit.
4. Bath & Body Works Body Care
You’ll find the best Bath & Body Works deals during the Bath & Body Works Semi-Annual Sale, which happens every June and December. This summer’s sale ran into the first week of July, and we saw candles hit the lowest price ever at $3.54, much lower than Candle Day when candles go for $10. Other beauty products like lotions, mists, and hand soap hit 75% off, and once that sale ended, Back-to-School Deals kicked off July 11, 2023, with 13 days of deals. If you’re wondering what beauty items to stock up on this month, find the deals at Bath & Body Works.
5. Toothpaste
Since toothpaste has a two-year shelf life, I always stock up when my favorite brands go on sale. Several brands started offering deals on Amazon Prime Day, and didn’t stop when Prime Day ended. Check out this offer right now:
6. Nexxus Haircare
Nexxus products don’t go on sale very often, but July seems to be a secret sweet spot for the brand. In fact, there was a flash sale on July 16 where Nexxus haircare products were up to 40% of at Walgreens for their Nexxus flash sale.
Check this out: Over the past year, the lowest price Nexxus Hair Spray has gone for on Amazon is $13.29. But through July 17, you could get it at Walgreens.com for just $10.79. That’s a 40% savings from the retail price of $17.99. Their Therappe Shampoo was also 40% off, which means you’ll pay $11.39 for a 13.5 oz bottle. Finally, the Nexxus Keraphix Conditioner was marked down from $19.99 to $11.99, which saved you 40% as well.
Note that the deals above were available on Walgreens.com. But if in-store shopping was more your thing, Walgreens was currently offering a $10 Register Reward if you spent $30 on Nexxus products. So, for example, if you bought the Therappe Shampoo and Hair Spray, you’ll save 27%.
