Instead of percentage-off sales and BOGO offers, Walmart uses “Rollback” deals to pass along special savings to their customers. These temporary price drops apply only to specific items, and they can last anywhere from a few days to a few months. But with Rollbacks, we often see savings of 60% or more — no couponing at Walmart necessary.
Since there can be more than 7,000 Rollbacks happening during any single quarter of the year (that stat comes straight from Walmart executives), keeping track of all the latest deals is almost a job in itself. But the Walmart deal hunters at The Krazy Coupon Lady are pretty much the experts at separating the can’t-miss Walmart Rollbacks from the ho-hum deals.
And if there are Walmart clearance deals you should shop instead, we can show you those too. Remember that shipping and Walmart curbside pickup are free if you have Walmart+, or on all orders of $35 or more.

Best Walmart Rollback Deals
What does "Rollback" mean on Walmart.com and at Walmart stores?
Rollbacks at Walmart are temporary price reductions that can last anywhere from a few days to a few months. A Rollback is basically Walmart’s version of a sale price that’s only available for a limited time on a certain product.
After a Rollback ends, the item will either go back up to its regular price, get a price reduction, or hit Walmart clearance (for a lower price).
“We are wired to help bring prices down. And we’ll continue working to get more Rollbacks to help customers and help members save money.” — Doug McMillon, President and CEO of Walmart Inc., Q2 2024 Earnings Call
You can find Walmart Rollbacks on all sorts of merchandise, including TVs, furniture, and even food. The only stipulation is that the item must have a history of being sold at Walmart — meaning that a completely new item will never be introduced at a Rollback price.
Because it’s usually the individual product supplier who passes along the discount, Rollbacks are typically specific to a certain item rather than a whole product category. For example, you won’t find Rollbacks happening on all Walmart toy deals at the exact same time, but you’ll likely see at least one kids’ toy with a Rollback price at any given time.
Are Walmart Rollbacks only online?
Walmart Rollbacks aren't just online — they’re in-store too. Here are all the places you can shop Rollbacks:
In stores: Look for the red “Rollback” shelf tags. These Rollback tags will show you the former price and the current price, but you’ll need to calculate the percentage-off yourself to see how much you’re saving. While you're at it, make sure you know how to find Walmart hidden clearance.
Online: Filter the Savings page by “Rollback” to see all current Rollback deals on Walmart.com. Rollbacks will usually show a “Now” price (the current price), and a former price, which will be crossed out.
In the Walmart app: Shop by Department; then choose Savings to see all the current Rollback deals in the Walmart app (download for iOS / Android).
Are Rollbacks or clearance better at Walmart?

Walmart Rollbacks are different from Walmart clearance items, but one isn’t necessarily better than the other. Finding the best deal depends on the item and its discounted price.
For example, we've seen Rollback deals with savings as high as 87%, and Walmart clearance deals with savings as high as 90%, so they can be pretty similar.
One major difference with Rollbacks is that they tend to have more inventory available, but with clearance, those items won’t get restocked.
