Home Depot Spring Sales

Spring Black Friday Sale: April 3 - 27, 2025 (predicted)

Sale Highlights: $1.50 6-pack annuals, $2 mulch, $2 soil, and up to 45% off kitchen appliances

The Home Depot Spring Black Friday Sale is their biggest lawn and garden event of the year. You'll find sale prices on almost all your major landscaping needs during the event. Think: mulch, soil, fertilizer, pavers, garden tools, and Home Depot plants for up to 70% off.

KCL TIP: Spring Black Friday is also a great time to buy Home Depot appliances. Deals on fridges and dishwashers are most similar to Black Friday deals in November.

Memorial Day Sale: May 15 - 26, 2025 (predicted)

Sale Highlights: $2 mulch, $0.25 pavers, and up to 50% off grills

The Home Depot Memorial Day Sale is a two-week event in May with deals on mulch, plants, patio furniture, grills, and more. Many Spring Black Friday deals return for Memorial Day, like 4 for $1 concrete pavers. But you’ll score even bigger discounts on grills and mulch than the previous month.

KCL TIP: Home Depot has a mulch deal for Memorial Day that is even better than Spring Black Friday. You’ll find the same $2 price on mulch, but for 2-cubic-foot bags instead of 1.5-cubic foot bags.

Home Depot Summer Sales

4th of July Sale: June 19 - July 9, 2025 (predicted)

Sale Highlights: 3 for $10 garden soil and select appliances

When summer officially kicks off, the Home Depot 4th of July Sale is your first shot at savings. Plants, gardening soil, appliances, and outdoor items all get price drops for the two-week event.

KCL TIP: Home Depot starts their patio furniture clearance about two weeks after the 4th of July Sale. Look for deals online and in stores through the end of August to save 60% - 90%!

Labor Day Sale: Aug. 22 - Sept. 2, 2024 (predicted)

Sale Highlights: 40% off mums and up to 50% off fire pits

The Home Depot Labor Day Sale is the last major event of summer. Deals on landscaping supplies (like mulch and soil) aren’t as good as earlier in the year. Instead, look for deals on fall plants and firepits.

Mums and other fall foliage hit 40% off for Labor Day, and we typically see a deal or two on firepits for 50% off.

KCL TIP: Check for end-of-season clearance deals on plants after Labor Day. You’ll usually find a selection in the Home Depot Garden Center for half off in mid-September.

Home Depot Fall Sales

Halloween Clearance Sale: Oct. 27 - Nov. 11, 2024 (predicted)

Sale Highlights: 50% - 75% off Halloween lights, inflatables, and animatronics

Home Depot Halloween decor gets deep discounts at the end of October — but you'll have to act fast to get your hands on them.

Home Depot starts their Halloween clearance at 50% off a few days before Halloween. But items reach up to 75% off in the first week of November. Popular animatronics (like the 13-foot Jack Skellington) are the first to fly off the shelves, so you have to hustle.

KCL TIP: If you’re serious about scoring Home Depot animatronics, look for the big online drop in mid-July. Some Home Depot Halloween items are out of stock well before they get sale prices.

Pre-Black Friday Sale: Nov. 7 - 27, 2024 (predicted)

Sale Highlights: 60% off Ryobi power tools, $50 artificial Christmas trees, and up to 45% off appliances

Home Depot moves from Halloween to Black Friday without skipping a beat. Their pre-Black Friday sale lasts for most of November, leading right up to their main Black Friday event. 

Tools, Christmas decor, and kitchen appliances are the hottest buys for pre-Black Friday. 

KCL TIP: You'll find a bigger selection of refrigerator deals during the main Black Friday event, up to 45% off.

Home Depot Winter Sales

Black Friday Sale: Nov. 29 - Dec. 1, 2024 (predicted)

Sale Highlights: $1.98 poinsettias, 45% off appliances, 60% off Christmas trees, and up to 70% off power tools.

Almost everything goes on sale for the Home Depot Black Friday event. Their ad has over 20 pages of deals on holiday decor, power tools, appliances, furniture, and more for the four-day sale.

The $1.98 poinsettias are a KCL favorite. They’re only available in stores while supplies last starting Nov. 25, 2024.

KCL TIP:  Home Depot also offers free local delivery on fresh-cut Christmas trees during their Black Friday Sale. 

Cyber Monday Sale: Dec. 2, 2024 (predicted)

Sale Highlights: Up to 50% off power tools and up to 30% off Christmas decorations

Home Depot Cyber Monday is a smaller, online-only version of their Black Friday sale. They’ll drop one big Special Buy of the Day, like up to 50% off select power tools.

Many of the same Christmas decor deals from Black Friday trickle into the Cyber Monday Sale, too. But you’ll have to act fast — the sale only lasts for 24 hours.

KCL TIP: Home Depot doesn’t price match their own Black Friday prices. If you find a better Cyber Monday deal on something you bought for Black Friday, lean on Home Depot’s return policy, instead.

Christmas Clearance Sale: Dec. 26, 2024 - Jan. 2, 2025 (predicted)

Sale Highlights: Up to 75% off Christmas trees, lights, and holiday decor

Home Depot Christmas decor is at its cheapest-ever prices during the Christmas Clearance. Starting Dec. 26, lights, trees, wreaths, inflatables, and more holiday decor is 50% off in stores. But remaining items get a second markdown for 75% off in early January — and the deals are more than just good.

KCL TIP: If you’re in the market for a new artificial tree, the Christmas Clearance is the No. 1 time to shop. Home Depot’s prices for a 6.5-foot LED tree drop to as low as $12.50.

Presidents Day Sale: Feb. 13 - 19, 2025 (predicted)

Sale Highlights: Up to 40% off bathroom items

Home Depot’s Presidents Day Sale isn’t what it once was. They used to drop a broader selection of deals in previous years. Still, Home Depot considers it their “biggest bath event of the year,” with discounts on bathroom faucets, vanities, shower heads, tubs, and more.

KCL TIP: Skip Presidents Day deals on appliances and wait to shop during Spring Black Friday in March.
