How to get the deal:
Visit the Book of the Month website to activate the promotion.
Click “Join for $5” or select “Give a gift” to send a subscription as a gift.
Enter your email address and choose either “Pick a book now” or “Pick a book later.”
Choose one of the hardcover book selections to receive a free embroidered hat with your first purchase. Alternatively, you can select an audiobook (without receiving a free gift).
At checkout, make sure to click “Apply” next to the promo code BOUQUET to get your first book for $5, as the promotion isn’t automatically applied.
Finish creating your account by setting a password, and complete your order by adding your shipping and payment details.
Review your order and finalize your subscription.
What is Book of the Month?
Book of the Month is a monthly book subscription service that offers a curated selection of new and popular titles for readers to choose from. Subscribers pick one book from the handpicked options each month, with the flexibility to skip a month or add extra books for an additional fee. It's a great way to discover new authors and genres while building your library.
The fine print:
Bottom line cost: You'll be charged just $5 for the first month and will get a book and a free hat (if you choose a hardcover book).
When will I be charged? You'll be charged immediately once you make your purchase. If you choose to keep your subscription, you'll be charged $16.99 per month to keep your monthly credit.
How do I pick a book? At the start of each month, Book of the Month features five to seven new reads for members to choose from. You have until the sixth day of each month to log in and pick a book or skip the month. If you skip, you won’t be charged, and your credit will roll over for future use. If you forget to make a selection or skip by the sixth of the month, you’ll be charged for a credit, which can be redeemed the following month or used toward add-ons.
When will I receive my order? It'll usually take between five and seven business days for your item to get delivered.
How to cancel your subscription:
If you no longer wish to keep your subscription, you'll need to cancel. However, as part of your $5 enrollment offer, you cannot cancel until after you have renewed for an additional month at $16.99.
If you wish to cancel after your first renewal, log into your account, go to "Account Settings," find the cancellation option, and either cancel or pause your subscription. You can pause it for one, two, or three months.
