How do we make our prediction?
Although the Yankee sale has bounced around over the years, it’s typically timed the day after Christmas and then again Memorial Day weekend. The past two years it has taken place the Friday before Memorial Day. We predict the sale will once again happen at the beginning of Memorial Day weekend — Friday, May 24, 2024.

Which sale is better: Bath & Body Works or Yankee Candle?
Ironically (or maybe not … ), the Yankee Candle Semi-Annual Sale happens right around the same time as the Bath & Body Works Semi-Annual Sale. And while you’d ideally opt to buy your Bath & Body Works candles during Candle Day for the absolute lowest prices of the year, that doesn’t mean we don’t scoop a few up during the Bath & Body Works Semi-Annual Sale, too.
But how do the prices compare? Bath & Body Works’ small candles will go as low as $5.20 each (regularly $15.50) during their Semi-Annual Sale. Compare that to the cost of a small jar candle from Yankee Candle, which goes as low as $5 (regularly $14) during their Semi-Annual Sale. These candle prices are pretty comparable for the sizes, so it really comes down to availability and what scents you like.
