If there’s one rule for shopping Yankee Candle, it’s that you should never pay full price. You can find Yankee Candle deals pretty much any time of year (and even free candle giveaways sometimes). But twice a year, you’re guaranteed to save up to 75% during the Yankee Candle Semi-Annual Sale in early summer and in December. The winter sale wrapped up in January, and we expect it back in early June.
Ultimately, your goal is to save 50% - 75% during a Yankee Candle sale, but you’ll want to get in on the action early since the best deals go fast.

The Yankee Candle Semi-Annual Sale is a twice-a-year, multiweek sale on candles and accessories.
Twice a year during the Semi-Annual Sale, Yankee Candle offers significant discounts on a variety of candles and accessories. Although Yankee Candle hosts a number of sales throughout the year, this one — which happens in early summer and around Christmas every year — is arguably the best one of the year.
These sales aren't exclusive to Yankee Candle shops or their website, either; authorized retailers like Macy’s or Kohl’s also participate. Shoppers can find deals on votives, jar candles, car vent clips, and more, with savings up to 75%.
KCL predicts the Yankee Candle Semi-Annual Sale will be back June 4 - July 7.
Although the Yankee Candle Semi-Annual Sale has bounced around over the years, it’s typically timed right around Christmas and then again Memorial Day weekend or early June. If the sale repeats last year's timing, expect it to pop up the first Thursday of June.
For the 2025 winter sale, Yankee Candle gave members early access on Dec. 23. The sale started for everyone (online only) on Dec. 24. And starting Dec. 26, you could shop in stores. So look out for early access for the summer sale too.

Which semi-annual sale is better: Bath & Body Works or Yankee Candle?
Ironically (or maybe not), the Yankee Candle Semi-Annual Sale happens right around the same time as the Bath & Body Works Semi-Annual Sale. So how do their prices compare? At both stores, the candle prices are pretty comparable, so it really comes down to availability and what scents you like.
Bath & Body Works’ small single wick candles will usually be $4.23 - $5.20 each (regularly $15.50) during their Semi-Annual Sale (although they only got down to $7.99 during the winter 2025 sale). Compare that to the cost of a small jar candle from Yankee Candle, which goes as low as $5 (regularly $17) during their Semi-Annual Sale.
KCL TIP: I find that the Bath & Body Works Semi-Annual Sale offers savings on more year-round scents, while the Yankee sale is more for seasonal scents.
