Kroger's much-anticipated Candle Day for 2023 just wrapped up on Saturday, Dec. 2. This fantastic sale is a staple for candle lovers, usually lighting up the first Saturday of December each year. If you're already marking your calendar for next year, expect the 2024 Kroger Candle Day to be on Saturday, Dec. 7. This is your opportunity to stock up on an array of scented candles at Kroger (or a Kroger-owned store like King Soopers, Fred Meyer, Fry’s, Smith’s, or Ralph's). You'll be able to get your favorite candles, usually priced up to $19.99, for the steal of just $6 each!
The best part? You don't even need any Kroger digital coupons to grab this deal. Shopping the Kroger Candle Day sale is one of the best (and easiest) Kroger hacks you need to know this holiday shopping season.

When is Kroger Candle Day 2024?
Kroger Candle Day always happens on the first Saturday of December, which is Dec. 7, 2024.
During the sale, you can buy any candle that's regularly priced under $19.99 for just $6 — with no coupon or limit!
Just remember to use your Kroger Plus Shopper's Card (or enter your phone number) at checkout to get the sale price.

What's included in the Kroger Candle Day sale?
When you shop the Kroger Candle Day sale, all filled jar candles originally priced up to $19.99 are just $6 each. The deal includes brands like Tuscany, Candle-Lite, and Yankee Candle 12-ounce jars, plus loads of others varieties. No coupons are needed, as these jar candles will automatically ring up as $6 at checkout.
Keep in mind, though, that the varieties and scents might vary depending on the store.
You can shop the sale in-store or by placing a Kroger grocery pickup order online, but the selection will be better in store.
Compared to Bath & Body Works' Candle Day, Kroger's sale is actually a better deal.
By now, most candle lovers are aware of the in-person shopping event that is Bath & Body Works Candle Day. But when it comes to bang for your buck per ounce of candle, Kroger's Candle Day sale actually has the edge.
With Bath & Body Works' Candle Day sale, all their popular three-wick candles — usually priced at $24.95 for 14.5 ounces — get marked down to $9.95. This means you'll be paying about $0.68 per ounce during the B&BW Candle Day Sale in 2023.
But with Kroger Candle Day, all candles are priced at $6, including 18-ounce candles. So you could be paying as low as $0.33 per ounce with the Kroger sale.
An added benefit of Kroger's sale is that you can avoid the busy store and order online for pickup or delivery. With Bath & Body Works Candle Day, they typically pause their "Buy online, Pick up in-store" option because candle inventory moves too fast.
Even compared to the Yankee Candle Semi-Annual Sale, Kroger prices are at least 26% cheaper.
We always see tons of Yankee Candle deals from retailers like Amazon, Macy's, Kohl's, and even Walmart. And Yankee Candle hosts their own semi-annual Yankee Candle Sale twice a year — once in the summer and again starting on Dec. 26.
But with their Semi-Annual sale, their prices are still higher per ounce compared to the Yankee candle prices during the Kroger Candle Day sale.
During the last Yankee Candle Semi-Annual Sale, we found their large jar candles (22 ounces) go for $15 each. This made them $0.68 per ounce if you shopped from Yankee Candle directly — still higher than the Kroger Candle Day's price for the Yankee Candle 12-ounce size ($0.50 per ounce).
