It's not just Bath & Body Works who gets in on Candle Day discounts the first weekend in December. Did you know that Kroger Candle Day is a thing too?

Even though the 2024 sale is over, we fully expect Kroger to bring back their much-anticipated Candle Day sale in December 2025 (right before their Holiday Candy Sale kicks off). Their candle sale is the perfect opportunity to stock up on jar candles at Kroger (or a Kroger-owned store like King Soopers, Fred Meyer, Fry’s, Smith’s, or Ralphs) for as low as $6 each.

The best part? You don't even need any Kroger coupons to grab the sale prices. But you will need a Kroger rewards membership. Shopping the Kroger Candle Day sale is one of the best (and easiest) Kroger hacks you need to know during the holiday shopping season.

Kroger's Candle Day is an annual 2-day sale where all jar candles will ring up for $6.

When you shop the Kroger Candle Day sale, all filled jar candles originally priced up to $19.99 are just $6 each. The deal includes brands like Tuscany, Candle-Lite, and Yankee Candle, plus loads of others varieties. No coupons are needed, as these jar candles will automatically ring up at $6 at checkout. And there's no limit to the number of candles you can buy.

You can shop the sale in store or by placing a Kroger grocery pickup order online, but the selection will likely be better in store. They'll also give you 50% off any candles priced at $20 or more.

KCL predicts the next Kroger Candle Day Sale will be Dec. 6 - 7, 2025.

The Kroger Candle Day Sale always starts on the first Saturday in December, which is Dec. 6, 2025. In 2024, the sale happened over two days. Look for the 2025 dates to be confirmed in the Kroger weekly ad for Dec. 3 - 9, 2025.

Just remember to use your Kroger Plus Shopper's Card (or enter your phone number) at checkout to get the sale price.

Compared to Bath & Body Works' Candle Day, Kroger's sale is actually a better deal.

By now, most candle lovers are aware of the shopping event that is Bath & Body Works Candle Day. But when it comes to bang for your buck per ounce of candle, Kroger's Candle Day sale actually has the edge.

With Bath & Body Works' Candle Day sale, all their popular 3-wick candles — usually priced at either $24.95 or $26.95 for 14.5 ounces — get marked down to $9.95. This means you'll be paying about $0.69 per ounce during the B&BW Candle Day Sale if they keep the $9.95 price point in 2025.

But with Kroger Candle Day, all candles are priced at $6, including 18-ounce candles. So you could be paying as low as $0.33 per ounce with the Kroger sale.

KCL TIP: An added benefit of Kroger's sale is that you can avoid the busy store and order online for pickup or delivery. With Bath & Body Works Candle Day, they typically pause their "Buy online, Pick up in store" option because candle inventory moves too fast.

Even compared to the Yankee Candle Semi-Annual Sale, Kroger prices are at least 27% cheaper.

We always see tons of Yankee Candle deals at retailers like Amazon, Macy's, Kohl's, and even Walmart. And Yankee Candle hosts their own semi-annual Yankee Candle Sale twice a year — once in late May and again starting Dec. 26 (predicted).

But with Yankee's Semi-Annual sale, their prices are still higher per ounce compared to the prices you can get on Yankee candles during Kroger's Candle Day sale.

During the Yankee Candle Semi-Annual Sale in 2023, we found their large jar candles (22 ounces) for $15 each. This made them $0.68 per ounce if you shopped from Yankee Candle directly — still higher than the Kroger Candle Day's price for the Yankee Candle 12-ounce size ($0.50 per ounce).
