Even though the 2025 sale is over, we fully expect Kroger to bring back their much-anticipated Candle Day sale in December 2026. Their candle sale is the perfect opportunity to stock up on candles at Kroger (or a Kroger-owned store like King Soopers, Fred Meyer, Fry's, Smith's, or Ralphs) without needing any Kroger coupons. You'll just need a Kroger rewards membership.

Kroger's Candle Day is an annual 3-day sale where all candles, melts, and diffusers are 50% off, no coupon needed.

When you shop the Kroger Candle Day sale, all candles, wax melts, and diffusers will be 50% off. The deal includes brands like Tuscany, Candle-Lite, and Yankee Candle, plus loads of other varieties. No coupons are needed, as these items will automatically ring up at half price at checkout when you use your rewards card. And there's no limit to the number you can buy.

You can shop the sale in-store or by placing a Kroger grocery pickup order online during the sale period, but the selection will likely be better in-store.

KCL TIP: In 2025, the deal was 50% off all candles, melts, and diffusers instead of the flat $6 price on jar candles they'd offered in previous years. This meant some deals weren't quite as good as earlier years (when you could score a $19.99 jar candle for just $6), but the sale included more variety with melts and diffusers in the mix.

The Kroger Candle Day Sale always starts on the first Saturday in December, which will be Dec. 5, 2026. Based on past sale patterns, we predict the sale will run for three days, from Saturday, Dec. 5, through Monday, Dec. 7, 2026.

Just remember to use your Kroger Plus Shopper's Card (or enter your phone number) at checkout to get the sale price.

Here are the prior sale dates that inform our prediction for 2026:

Compared to Bath & Body Works' Candle Day, Kroger's sale has its advantages.

By now, most candle lovers are aware of the shopping event that is Bath & Body Works Candle Day, where popular 3-wick (14.5-ounce) candles get marked down to just $9.95.

Kroger's 50% off deal is pretty competitive considering that you can get a 3-wick, 10-ounce Candle-Lite Jar Candle for as low as $2.75 at Kroger (based on 2025 pricing).

Plus, an added benefit of Kroger's sale is that you can avoid the busy store and order online for pickup or delivery. With Bath & Body Works Candle Day, they typically pause their store pickup option because candle inventory moves too fast.

Even compared to the Yankee Candle Semi-Annual Sale, Kroger prices are competitive — and you can shop sooner.

We always see tons of Yankee Candle deals at retailers like Amazon, Macy's, Kohl's, and even Walmart. And Yankee Candle hosts their own Semi-Annual Yankee Candle Sale twice a year — once in late May and again starting around Dec. 26 (predicted).

During the last Yankee Candle Semi-Annual Sale in 2025, we saw their 3-wick candles go for $8, which was 68% off. Their $17 tumbler candles also went for $5, which was 71% off. But that sale likely won't happen until the day after Christmas.

With Kroger's Candle Day sale, you can score deals on Yankee Candle products a few weeks earlier. In 2025, you could get a 14.25-ounce Yankee Medium Pillar Candle for $8.50 (regularly $16.99), which was 50% off.
