JCPenney Power Penney Days is a twice-a-year, 5-day event with hundreds of deals under $20.
Typically in October and April every year, JCPenney Power Penney Days puts hundreds of items on sale at various price points under $15. In 2023, we saw items like bath towels at $5, bath rugs for $9, and sleep separates for $11 — which is up to 80% off regular prices. During the long weekend sale, you can stack JCPenney rewards to make the prices even lower.
KCL predicts the next JCPenney Power Penney Days will start on Wednesday April 30, 2025
Traditionally a JCPenney Power Penney Days event happens every April and October. In 2024 they rolled it out in April and August; however, they still stuck with the typical four-day sale. We originally predicted this sale would happen April 10, 2025. When it didn't, we adjusted our prediction based on the number of days from Easter. JCPenney moved its Mystery Sale later this year, too (Easter is April 20 in 2025), and we think it'll do the same for Power Penney Days.
How do we make our prediction?
By looking at historical data, of course. Here's when JCP's Power Penney Days has run most recently:

Aim for at least 60% savings during JCPenney Power Penney Days.
You don’t want to shop for anything lower than 60% savings. For example, during the last JCPenney Power Penney Days sale, they had Home Expressions Bath Towels (reg. $14) on sale for $5 each — 64.3% savings.
Women’s boots were $25 during this sale, regularly priced at $65, which is a 61.5% savings. Some items might get marked down even more. For example, we saw diamond or gemstone jewelry up for grabs at 80% off.
No coupons are needed for the JCPenney Power Penney Days sale.
Unlike so many other sales (both at JCPenney and other retailers), there are no stackable coupons to be used during this sale. JCP considers the deals to be good enough on their own.
However, you can apply a $10 JCPenney Reward to your purchase to bring your total even lower.
While there may not be any coupons involved in this sale, there’s still a way to bring that total down. If you’re a JCPenney Rewards member and have a $10 JCPenney Reward in your hot little hands, use it. Particularly if that reward is set to expire before Black Friday.
KCL TIP: You can redeem up to 10 of those $10 Rewards in one transaction at JCPenney, assuming it does not exceed the purchase amount.
Use your JCP Rewards account to earn points on purchases during this sale.
If you’re a JCPenney credit card holder, you’ll earn 1 point for every $1 spent on your purchase. However, if you’re a JCP Rewards member without a card (the loyalty program is free to join), then you’ll earn 1 point for every $2 spent.

A $10 reward for every 200 points earned.
Access to Bonus Events to earn $10 rewards on $50 purchases.
Ability to earn and redeem Rewards points on JCPenney Beauty and Salon purchases.

Don’t confuse the sale with the JCPenney Power of a Penny coupon, which last happened in July 2023.
JCPenney’s Power of a Penny coupon began for rewards members on July 24, 2023. Customers who signed up for the free JCPenney rewards program by July 22 (or rewards members who opted in to receive the coupon on July 22) got a digital coupon for $24.99 off any $25 purchase.
That meant your $25 shopping cart only cost you a penny. We have not seen a coupon of this kind from JCPenney since then.
