If you're a Kohl's Rewards member, then you know receiving Kohl's Cash is one of the golden ways to save at the retailer. Typically you earn Kohl's Cash on purchases and have to wait until a redemption period to use it. However during the Kohl's Cash Ultimate Giveaway events (which Kohl's has been running about every six months), shoppers get Kohl's Cash coupons to use on eligible purchases that same day. The most recent one ran March 7 - 9, 2025, and we're predicting the next one in September.

During the March event, in-store shoppers got coupons for $5, $10, $15, or $25 Kohl's Cash as they walked through the store doors, no purchase necessary, and you could redeem that same day.

Kohl's Cash Ultimate Giveaway is a twice-a-year, 3-day event, distributing instant-use Kohl's Cash to shoppers in-store.

There are a lot of Kohl's sales, but the Ultimate Koh's Cash Giveaway (which Kohl's started doing in September 2024), is unique. It's a 3-day in-store-only event during which shoppers receive Kohl's Cash that could be used immediately (same day) on eligible purchases. Traditional Kohl's Cash is earned when you spend money, and there's a specific redemption period involved, so you have to wait for those dates in order to use the Kohl's Cash. During the giveaway event, Kohl's Cash must be redeemed immediately that day with no waiting, but only in-store.

KCL predicts the next Kohl's Cash Ultimate Giveaway will run Sep. 5 - 7, 2025.

The Kohl's Cash Ultimate Giveaway is a pretty new event (we saw it for the first time in September 2024 and again in March 2025). But based on the timing of the first two, we predict it'll be an every-six-months event.

Receive coupons for Kohl's Cash as you walk into the store, no purchase necessary.

Normally you have to spend $50 to receive $10 in Kohl's Cash. However, during the Kohl's Cash Ultimate Giveaway, shoppers receive these $5, $10, $15, or $25 Kohl's Cash coupons as they walk into the store, while supplies last, with no purchase necessary. Just remember that this special Kohl's Cash coupon must be used in-store the same day you receive it.

The Kohl's Cash is only available while supplies last.

These Kohl's Cash coupons are available while supplies last, with no publicly defined number of coupons available daily at each store. To err on the side of caution, we suggest getting to your Kohl's store earlier rather than later during the event. Kohl's has a supply of coupons for every day of the sale, so if they run out, try again the next day.

Tips for Shopping the Event

You have to use the Kohl's Cash the same day you receive it, and only in-store.

This event is not for those who like to tuck away coupons for a rainy day. The Kohl's Cash Ultimate Giveaway is only happening in stores, and you have to redeem the Kohl's Cash you receive that same day. You'll only be able to use it on an in-store purchase. So if you were thinking about bringing that Kohl's Cash coupon home with you and then applying it to an online purchase, unfortunately that won't work.

You do not have to be a Kohl's Rewards member to participate in the Kohl's Cash Giveaway.
