If you’re a regular Krazy Coupon Lady reader, you know we watch store discounts like a hawk, particularly eyeballing the special savings offered to military members, nurses, teachers, and students. On May 5, 2023 we spotted something a little different on Crocs.com. Instead of the year-round discount of 15% for the aforementioned groups, it appears the Crocs discount for military, nurses, teachers, and students is now 25%. That is a seriously exciting boost.

Now, here’s the thing, we didn’t want to get too excited because what if it’s a glitch or typo? So we scoured the internet and found no word of the change other than what our eyes feasted on at Crocs.com. But, we gotta say an extra 10% off goes a long way when trying to save money. So, we decided to take this seemingly new discount for a test drive. Here’s what we know so far about this change.

According to Crocs.com, medical professionals, military, teachers, and students all get a 25% discount.

If you belong to one of these groups, you can enjoy a 25% discount at Crocs.com (online-only discount) upon verifying your eligibility. Healthcare workers, teachers, and military verify through SheerID. Students verify through Student Beans.

The Crocs discount isn’t available on sale items, with some exceptions.

With news of the 25% Crocs discount, the next question you might have is whether or not it’s stackable with other promotions or sales. The answer: yes, and no. One source tells us that the Crocs discount for medical professionals, military, teachers, and students will not work on anything but regular-priced items. That means no stacking with any other promotion or offer, including sales. On the other hand, a separate source tells us the student discount is stackable with clearance items. Again, it was time to put the whole thing to the test.

We found the 25% SheerID works with regular-price items, sale-price items, and clearance items.

In order to get some real-life answers, we tried a nurse discount through SheerID to see which items actually get the savings. We found it works with almost everything, regular-priced, sale-priced, and clearance-marked items. And, we got free shipping!

Student Bean’s 25% student discount works with regular-price items, sale-price items, and clearance items.

To make sure this discount was working across the board, we tested the Crocs student discount from Student Beans on clearance, sale, and regular-priced items. It worked on everything we tried, plus we got free shipping.

Officially you can use the Crocs 25% discount once a year; unofficially it appears to work more often than that when you reverify.

Here’s where it is weird: we’ve had Crocs customer service reps tell us they are a one-time, once-a-year discount. However, we’ve also read on the Crocs website that you reverify each time you shop. After trying both the nurse and student discounts, this is what we found.

For the Crocs student discount, you can reverify every two weeks for a new code. But the Crocs nurse discount through SheerID isn’t so cut and dry. We attempted to reverify the day after our purchase. Unfortunately, we received an error on the Crocs website. If we get it to work or we hear word back about reverifying from Crocs, we’ll update this post.

Whether Crocs is changing their year-round discount to 25% permanently remains to be seen.

The Crocs.com website changed the discount for medical professionals, teachers, military, and students at the same time. So, to us, this indicates, yes, the change is for good. However, Crocs notes in their press release for Nurses Week the discount is good through the end of May. However, we had two Crocs customer service reps tell us the change is year-round. Time will tell. Until then, go forth and save on some Crocs.
