You still have time to grab one of Wendy’s Frosty Key Tags for $3 which gets you a Jr. Frosty with any purchase for absolutely F-R-E-E. Add a Frosty Tag to your order before Feb. 14, 2024, and enjoy a Jr. Vanilla Frosty — or, heck, any flavor we see in 2024 — on the house, any time you order.
The $3 Frosty tag is one of our favorite Wendy’s deals all year. Like the Wendy’s Boo Books, purchases of the tag benefit the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption — a nonprofit dedicated to finding homes for children waiting in foster care in the United States and Canada. There’s no limit to how many Key Tags you can purchase, so these make a great little gift to treat co-workers, neighbors, or friends while giving back to the community.

Wendy’s Frosty Key Tags get you a free Jr. Vanilla Frosty with purchase throughout 2024.
What is a Wendy’s Frosty key tag? It’s your ticket to a free 6-oz Jr. Frosty every time you purchase Wendy’s during the 2024 calendar year. They went on sale on Nov. 20, 2023, and will be available through Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, in 2024 (which is wayyy longer than in previous years).
Each tag costs $3. Although that’s $1 more expensive than last year, it’s cheaper than buying just TWO Jr. Frostys. Yep. Use it twice, and it’s paid for itself.
Frosty tags sold in 2023 will become active beginning Jan. 1, 2024, and remain valid the whole dang year. They don’t expire until Jan. 1, 2025. But you’ll have a new one by then.
Note: For every $3 Key Tag sold, $2.55 goes directly to the Dave Thomas Foundation, helping find safe, permanent, and loving homes for children in foster care.
How can I purchase a Frosty Key Tag?
Wendy’s Frosty Key Tags are available between Nov. 20, 2023, and Feb. 14, 2024. You can purchase a physical Key Tag in person or a digital Key Tag through your Wendy’s Rewards account for $3 each.
Just ask your cashier or navigate to the “Give Something Back” section of Wendy’s online menu to get a Key Tag. You can purchase as many physical Key Tags as you’d like, but digital Key Tags are limited to one per Wendy’s Rewards account. (You can also buy the Key Tags in bulk via the Dave Thomas Foundation website.)
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to use your physical Key Tag for your Wendys.com orders or your digital Key Tag for your in-person purchases. But you could buy one of each to cover your bases — it’ll only cost $6 and pays for itself if you buy four Frosties in a year.
How often can you use your Frosty Key Tag?
Digital keytags can be redeemed once per hour and physical key tags once per transaction.
There’s no official time frame for how often you can get a free Frosty with the physical key tag. In theory, you could get one free Frosty in the drive-thru and then pull back around and order another one with your physical key tag in a separate transaction. It’ll depend on your cashier.
The digital key tag gives you a coupon in the Wendy’s app, and once you use it, you’ll get another coupon an hour later.
How can I earn more free Wendy’s Frosties?
The best way to earn free Wendy’s Frostys is by joining the Wendy’s Rewards program. You’ll earn 10 points for every $1 spent at Wendy’s, and when you earn 150 points (or $15 spent), you can redeem your points for a free Jr. Vanilla Frosty. Plus, you’ll get a free Jr. Frosty as a birthday reward.
