Roll Your Walgreens Rewards: Pay $8.27 Out of Pocket and Get Back $4

KCL typically calculates the rewards you earn into the final price of the deal. These deals are represented differently in order to show you how to actually roll these rewards to save money on your next purchase or transaction.

Transaction #1

Clip a digital coupon and purchase two Burt’s Bees Kids toothpastes. You’ll pay $2 at the register and receive a $3 Register Reward.

Transaction #2

Clip a digital coupon and purchase two Garnier Whole Blends hair care. Use the $3 Register Reward you earned from the previous transaction. You’ll also need to purchase a filler item in order for each coupon to apply. One option is a $0.79 Nice brand lollipop located by the register. You’ll pay $2.79 out of pocket and get back a $4 Register Reward.

Transaction #3

Clip a digital coupon and purchase two Crest toothpastes and two Dawn dish soap. Use the $4 Register Reward from the previous transaction. You’ll pay $1.48 and get back a $3 Register Reward and a $1 Register Reward.

Transaction #4

Clip a digital coupon and purchase two Garnier Fructis hair care. Use the $3 and the $1 Register Reward you earned from the previous transaction. You’ll also need to purchase two filler items in order for each coupon to apply. For this deal, I added Nice lollipops again, which will ring up at $0.50 each when you buy two. Following this deal, you’ll pay $2 and get back a $4 Register Reward.

To get these deals, all you need to do is clip digital coupons in the Walgreens app or at Walgreens.com. After completing each transaction, the advertised Register Reward will print at the register. You’ll then use this reward to help pay for the next transaction. This is called rolling rewards.

One important thing to note is that in order to receive all of the rewards, you must do these transactions in order. That’s because Walgreens Registers have specific rules for redeeming Register Rewards on your purchases. (For example, if you use the Burt’s Bees Register Reward to purchase the Crest toothpaste, you won’t receive an additional $3 Register Reward.) So if you follow the deals as written above, you’ll walk away with a $4 Register Reward. You can save this reward for next week, or use it to help pay for any other items you’d like to save on.
