Ulta's Big Summer Beauty Sale is just that — a massive 2-or 3-week annual event that takes place in June/July. Deals include up to 40% off jumbo shampoos and conditioners, as well as BOGO free mini-size products and sun care discounts, among other savings.

KCL predicts the next Ulta Big Summer Sale will run June 20 - July 10, 2027

We expect the sale will copy its 2026 timing and start the third Sunday of June in 2027.

Ulta Big Summer Beauty Sale deals change every week

Some deals run the length of the sale, but others run a week at a time. Generally, we see 40% off jumbos and BOGO 50% off skincare run the whole sale, while brand-specific deals (on the Ordinary, Living Proof, Urban Decay, and more) switch every week. Those weekly deals usually range from 25% to 40% off.

Take advantage of the free shipping offer during the sale.

Usually, Ulta's free shipping threshold is $35, but during the sale, this sale sometimes usually offers limited-time free standard shipping promos. During past sales, we've seen a free shipping promo run for four days in the middle of the sale. And it's not just for the items that are part of the Big Summer Beauty sale, but for everything on Ulta's site. So if you're checking out with an order total under $35, you don't have to worry about the $6.95 shipping charge getting tacked on.

Activate bonus offers in your Ulta Beauty Rewards account to earn the most points on purchases.

Ulta is pretty generous about bonus offers during big savings events like the Ulta Big Summer Beauty Sale. This means sometimes you can earn up to 5x the number of Ulta Beauty Rewards points on a purchase if you're buying eligible items during these promotions. However, you have to log into your Ulta Beauty Rewards account in order to see which bonus offers are available, then click 'Activate' to make sure you earn them.

Log in to your Rewards account on Ulta.com in the upper righthand corner of the screen.
Click on your initial in the upper righthand corner of the homepage, then select 'Ulta Beauty Rewards' from the dropdown menu.
Scroll down your dashboard until you see 'Bonus Offers.'
Click the 'Activate' button on each and every offer before shopping the sale to ensure you receive bonus points on correlating purchases.
