When it’s hot outside, there’s nothing better than a freezer stocked with ice cream — especially when you know you bought all that ice cream for 50% off. If you love saving money on groceries, the annual Whole Foods Ice Cream Sale is one of those food deals you don’t want to miss.
Our team at The Krazy Coupon Lady will tell you (kind of embarrassed, but proud) that we buy enough during this sale to fill our freezers for months.

The Whole Foods Ice Cream Sale is an annual 2-week event that gives Amazon Prime members 50% off ice cream in-store.
The Whole Foods Ice Cream Sale is one of their biggest frozen treat deals of the year. As long as you have an Amazon Prime membership, you’ll get 50% off all ice cream and frozen dessert items at Whole Foods stores. Without Prime, you get 44% off.
KCL predicts the next Whole Foods Ice Cream Sale will be July 1 - 14, 2026.

Last year, the Whole Foods Ice Cream Sale took place July 2 - 15, 2025. As long as they follow a similar schedule in 2026, you can expect to see the sale pop up from Wednesday, July 1 - Tuesday, July 14.
How do we make our prediction?
Whole Foods rolls out this sale every July, and it always happens around the Fourth of July holiday. Here are the past dates we've tracked for the Whole Foods Ice Cream Sale:
July 2 - 15, 2025
July 3 - 16, 2024
It's not just ice cream — frozen desserts are half-off with Prime membership too.

This sale isn’t just for pints of ice cream. You’ll also find frozen desserts like popsicles, non-dairy treats, and gelato for 50% off. Those savings can add up to $1.83 - $5.23 off per item, depending on what you buy.
Some of the brands included are Van Leeuwen, Jeni’s, Whole Foods Market 365, Ben & Jerry’s, Alec’s, Jonny Pops, and Talenti. Frozen desserts can last about two to four months, so it’s smart to stock up during the sale and enjoy them long after summer.
Show you're a Prime Member at checkout.
You just need to show you’re a Prime member when you check out — either by scanning your code in the Whole Foods Market app or Amazon app, showing your Amazon Prime barcode, or entering your linked phone number at the register. Keep in mind that this deal is in-store only, while supplies last, and they don’t do rain checks. So if your favorite flavor is gone, it’s gone.
KCL TIP: See what else we recommend stocking up on in July (plus what to skip).
Without a Prime membership, you'll only get 44% off during the Whole Foods Ice Cream Sale.

If you don’t have Prime, you can still save, but the discount drops to 44%. It’s still a nice deal, but you’ll miss out on that extra bump that makes this sale so popular with Prime members.
Amazon owns Whole Foods, so these extra savings are one of the perks of paying for Prime. If you plan to stock up big, having Prime can make a big difference at checkout.
