Why is there a Carter’s pajamas recall?
The baby-wear brand recalled 50,800 onesies after small metal wires were discovered inside the fabric. These wires could potentially injure and harm children, with the specific risks of laceration and puncture wounds. An additional 200 onesies were reportedly sold in Canada.
The William Carter Company, the parent company of Carter’s, said in a statement on Nov. 17, 2022, “Working in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Health Canada, Carter’s is conducting a voluntary recall of these pajamas sold between July 2022 and September 2022.”
