Did you know you can pick up your Amazon delivery at Rite Aid?

Did you know you can pick up your Amazon delivery at Rite Aid?

As of July 4, 2019, you now have a whole new option for picking up your Amazon packages. The new service, dubbed “Amazon Counter” lets you pick up any Amazon package directly from your local Rite Aid store with no additional shipping charges. That’s right, Rite Aid is the new Amazon delivery partner!

Amazon Counter will show up as another shipping option when you check out.

So how does Amazon Counter work? Shop as you normally would on Amazon, then proceed to checkout. You can select any of the Counter pickup points (aka Rite Aid stores) available in your zip code.

Once your package has been delivered, you’ll get an email from Amazon with a unique barcode. Bring that barcode into your pickup location; a Rite Aid staff member will scan it and grab your package for you. You get a full 14 days to pick up your stuff, even if you choose Amazon same-day delivery. You can totally make it fit your schedule.

TIP: Make sure to follow our Amazon deals page so you can save serious cash on that pick-up order!

You don’t have to be a Prime member to use Amazon Counter — but you won’t get any shipping breaks without it.

The service is free, but shipping charges still stand. If you’re an Amazon Prime member, you can get all the usual perks, including free one- and two-day shipping, depending on the item and area.

If you aren’t a Prime member, then normal shipping charges will apply to your orders.

If Amazon Prime delivery sounds like your thing, keep in mind that you can do a 30-day free trial to give it a shot! And you can even pay monthly, too! And hey! Amazon Prime Day — an annual event Amazon runs in July, full of Black Friday-worthy deals — is right around the corner, so now is the perfect time to try it out!

You can grab your packages now in 100 select Rite Aid stores around the country, but Amazon plans to increase that number to at least 1,500 by the end of 2019. This sounds like a great way to squeeze in some great deals the next time you need to pick up an Amazon delivery!

Amazon isn’t buying up Rite Aid yet, but you should still be on the lookout for deals.

Amazon isn't buying up Rite Aid yet, but you should still be on the lookout for deals.

We’ve heard the rumors that Amazon is planning to buy up Rite Aid, which we could hope would mean some deals like those we’ve seen since Amazon took over Whole Foods. Alas, those rumors are unfounded for now.

We do hope to see Rite Aid run some sweet sales and deals to get their Amazon Counter customers shopping in store when they come in for their Amazon delivery.

Psst…. Follow our Rite Aid deals and coupons page and we’ll let you know the best deals to shop for when you stop in for your Amazon Counter pickup.

Amazon plans to expand Amazon Counter to other retailers in the future — so watch out for deals!

It stands to reason that the more options we have for Amazon pickup, then the more stores will want to compete for our time (and money!). We can’t wait to see what deals are in our future — from Amazon, Rite Aid and more! — with the Amazon Counter service!

And don’t worry, we’ll keep you up to date on the best deals out there, whether you want them with Prime delivery or not.

If you want to return that Amazon package, then you can take it to Kohl’s!

Counter is similar in idea to the partnership Amazon has with Kohl’s, which will let you return any Amazon package to Kohl’s Customer Service. What’s even better is that you don’t even have to pay shipping fees!
