Summertime means more outdoor fun, which is great, but I can’t count on my fingers how many times I’ve had to drag out my First-Aid kit this past week alone. Between my 2 year old falling off her bike, or my 5 year old scraping her knee on a stick, the summer scrapes and burns are a real thing — and let’s not even talk about how my 2 year old hates Band-Aids with a small passion. Liquid Bandage is the only way I can get her to sit still when dealing with a small cut, so I’m happy to report that there’s some serious savings happening right now on Bactine Max products, including 50% off Bactine Max Liquid Bandage and Bactine Max Lidocane Dry Spray at Walgreens and Walmart. Plus, you can save up to 33% on Bactine Max Pain Relieving Cleansing Spray.

If you shop in-store, you’ll find the Bactine Max products in the first aid aisle. While the Ibotta deals can’t be stacked, you’ll also find an on-pack product coupon for $3 off any two different Bactine Max items. Besides needing them for all my kids’ summer injuries, here’s seven reasons why I’m stocking up on Memorial Day weekend (and for the rest of the summer, too!).

1. Right now through June 3, you can save 50% on Bactine Max products when you use the Ibotta app to buy them at Walmart or Walgreens.

You’ll save 50% on Bactine Max Liquid Bandage and Bactine Max Lidocane Dry Spray, and $2 off Bactine Max Pain Relieving Cleansing Spray at Walgreens and Walmart (limit 5 on each product).

In-store, you’ll also find an on-pack product coupon for $3 off any two different Bactine Max items. Walgreens is also offering a digital coupon that will give you an extra $1.50 off through 6/6, or an extra $2 off now through 6/30, but note that these savings cannot be stacked with the Ibotta deals. You can see all the deals here.

2. Each product costs less than $10, even when they’re not on sale.

I can easily rack up a big bill when I’m stocking up my first-aid kit. But since each of these items comes in at less than $10, I know I won’t be breaking the bank, even if they’re not on sale. Plus, Bactine Max products can cost much less than similar ones on the market. For example, a 2.7 oz. can of Dermoplast First Aid Spray costs $7.28 at Walmart, while a 5 oz. bottle of Bactine Max Pain Relieving Cleansing Spray goes for $5.98. Instead of paying $2.65 per oz of Dermoplast, you’d pay $1.20 per oz of Bactine Max, saving you 55%.

3. Unlike competitors, they have lidocaine, which immediately relieves pain.

As every parent knows, pain from a scrape or bite can ruin the perfect summer day. But Bactine Max contains lidocaine, a local anesthetic that stops pain by blocking the signals at your skin’s nerve endings. I was surprised to see that competing brands, like Band-Aid Brand Pain Relieving Antiseptic Cleansing Spray, NEW-SKIN Liquid Bandage, and Dermoplast Kids Sting-Free First Aid Spray do not have lidocaine listed in their ingredients. With 4% lidocaine, Bactine Max has the highest amount allowed in an over-the-counter product.

4. Bactine Max is known for germ killing — that means less products for the kiddos.

There is nothing worse than a screaming child when you are trying to disinfect a cut or scrape with hydrogen peroxide or alcohol before getting to the treatment or the Band-Aid. Seriously, my daughter screams when she sees a medicine bottle she doesn’t recognize. What I love about the Bactine Max Pain Relieving Cleansing Spray is that it works as a combo plan of action: Pain relief and kills 99.9% of germs. The same goes for the Bactine Max Liquid Bandage — it does both. I love that I don’t have to worry about applying multiple products while my child is having an injury freakout. It means less time for tears and more time for cuddles.

5. Bactine Max products are compact and easily fit inside all of my bags.

From sunscreen to snacks to water bottles, there’s already so much to pack in my summer beach bag. But since the Bactine Max Pain Relieving Cleansing Spray comes in a 5 oz. bottle, the Bactine Max Lidocane Dry Spray is just 4 oz., and the Bactine Max Liquid Bandage is the smallest at .3 oz, they were all really easy to throw into my belt bag. Depending on the product, Bactine Max products should have a shelf life of two to three years, which means that I can stock up now and have my first aid kit fully prepared and ready to go. Be sure to check expiration dates and plan accordingly!

6. Bactine Max Lidocane Dry Spray works better on sunburn than aloe and won’t leave a mess.

My kids and I have very fair skin, so we sunburn easily. In the past, I’d always use aloe, but my kids always ask for the Bactine Max Lidocane Dry Spray to relieve that awful post-burn itchiness. The best part is that there’s no sticky mess and it dries super fast: I don’t have to worry about it getting on my daughter’s clothes like globs of aloe will.

7. All Bactine Max products are HSA/FSA approved.

If you have an HSA (Health Savings Account) or FSA (Flexible Spending Account), these Bactine Max items qualify for them. Since you won’t have to pay for tax or shipping, your savings can add up in a big way at the end of the year.
