Every year I get one of those giant teddy bears from Big Lots for my daughter. But of course I tend to peruse (and buy) everything in the beauty, home and furniture departments as well. To keep my bill from getting astronomical, I like to use the Buzz Club Rewards program. It's completely free and I find that it saves me tons of money throughout the entire year.

How to sign up

You can sign up for the Buzz Club Rewards program online. After signing up you can pick up your rewards card at any Big Lots location. Of course, you can also sign up for the Buzz Club Reward program at your local Big Lots so that you can start shopping in store right away (which is my personal preference)!

How to earn rewards

Your Buzz Club Rewards card gives you access to sale prices and exclusive members-only deals. My personal favorite perk is the 20% off store-wide sale (which is held a few times a year) that is only available to cardholders. You'll also get a newsletter in your email inbox that is full of coupons, special offers and advanced notice of buyout and closeout deals. Membership in the Buzz Club also gives you an early 2-day sneak peek at your local sales flyer before it's available to the general public. Having a Buzz Club Rewards card also means that you never have to worry about saving a Big Lots receipt ever again. A store associate can use your card to look up prior purchases when you need to return or exchange an item. The Buzz Club Rewards program also holds contests and giveaways throughout the year.

How to keep track of your rewards

You can check under the "My Account" tab on the Big Lots website to see information about your account, check any rewards card information, and change any of your reward and subscription settings.

Using your rewards

Print out any of the special coupons or deals that you get in your e-mail. Show these promotional offers to the cashier at checkout and save! If you’re like me and you tend to forget your coupons on the kitchen counter at home, don't fret! You can just pull up the coupon or special offer on your smartphone and a cashier can scan it directly from your phone.
