Best Buy just launched a new series of rewards programs. If you sign up for the free version, you’ll get free shipping on every order with no minimum. Sadly this means current My Best Buy members no longer have access to exclusive offers and member-only pricing. If you want the extra perks, you’ll have to fork over $49.99 – $179.99 a year.

Prefer to shop elsewhere? Well, Best Buy does offer a Price Match Guarantee, but navigating their price matching policies can be a bit complicated. Let’s break it down for you.
Let’s start with the basics: Best Buy offers price matching with local retailers. They define a store as “local” if it has a physical presence within a 25-mile radius. This means they not only match prices from other physical stores but also prices from competitor websites if they have an online presence.
To be eligible for price matching, the item you wish to purchase must be identical and currently in stock at Best Buy. Rain checks are not applicable.
In-store price matching is a simple process. Just bring the local competitor’s current ad or show their website to the Customer Service desk before making your purchase. Best Buy may contact the competitor to verify the price. If the item is confirmed as identical and in stock, Best Buy will manually adjust the price to match the competitors.
For online price matching on BestBuy.com or through the Best Buy app, you can request a price match via online chat or by calling their customer service. A representative will review and verify the price, and if you meet the criteria, you’ll receive an adjustment. Please note that online price matching requests cannot be submitted via email or in Best Buy retail stores.
