Dollar General's weekly 3-Day Sales happen every weekend from Halloween through the week before Christmas. You might remember these as "Deal Days" from past years; they're the same sales running Thursday through Saturday, just with a new name. Each week brings fresh Dollar General deals with BOGO offers and up to 50% off gifts, toys, cookware, seasonal home decor, and even select groceries.
These offers are a different mix of deals than the ones we include in our Dollar General weekly ad roundup. And they overlap with the Dollar General Black Friday sale during the week of Thanksgiving. So there's basically no shortage of ways to save at Dollar General in the last few months of the year.
Dollar General 3-Day Sales are weekend savings events with BOGO deals and up to 50% off hundreds of items.
Dollar General loves using different names for their sales, and in 2025 they called their holiday savings events "3-Day Sales." In past years, you might've known these as "Deal Days." These promotions run every Thursday through Saturday from October to December.
These 3-Day Sales are basically a version of early Black Friday deals at Dollar General, with discounts on gifts, toys, holiday decor, kitchen appliances, gift cards, sodas, and canned goods.

Dollar General's 3-Day Sales wrapped up for 2025, but based on past years, we expect them to return in October 2026.
Weekly 3-Day Sales should run every Thursday through Saturday starting around Oct. 29, 2026, and continuing throughout the holiday season (until the weekend before Christmas Day). Each sale lasts three days and features different offers.
Shop the deals in-store to skip Dollar General's delivery fees.
Most Dollar General delivery orders go through DoorDash or Uber Eats, which means you're paying extra beyond your first free delivery. But Dollar General rolled out their own same-day delivery service to about 17,000 stores by the end of 2025 — that's more than half of all locations.
No matter which delivery option you use, you're looking at fees. Third-party delivery comes with delivery fees, service fees, and a recommended tip. Dollar General's own delivery still has fees, though you can use coupons.
But shopping in-store is still the smartest move during these 3-Day Sales. You'll skip the fees, skip the tip, and use all your coupons.
Remember to clip the $5 off $25 Saturday coupon in the DG app before you shop.
If you want to save the most money possible during these 3-Day Sales, plan to shop on a Saturday and use the $5 off $25 coupon that's only valid on Saturdays. The only catch is that by Saturday, some of the best deals might already be sold out in stores.
You can clip this coupon in the DG app (download for iOS/Android), and it's only valid on the day(s) listed in the fine print. These coupons also print at the bottom of your receipt when you make any purchase at Dollar General Sunday through Friday.
Watch for additional $5 off $25 coupons to use Monday through Friday too.
KCL TIP: To use multiple $5 off $25 coupons, you'll need to split your transactions since only one coupon can be applied per transaction.
Look for rebates and DG coupons to stack with sale prices (and boost your savings up to 73%).
To really maximize your savings during these 3-Day Sales, you'll want to get familiar with how DG Cash Back rebates work and how to coupon at Dollar General. Sometimes, we find rebates and coupons that can be stacked with sale prices on qualifying items to save even more than advertised.
