The Dollar General Deal Days sale just wrapped up for 2024, but we fully expect to see the 8-week event return in October 2025. These Thursday-through-Saturday sales bring a new set of Dollar General deals to stores each week, with BOGO offers and up to 50% off gifts, toys, cookware, seasonal home items, and even groceries on sale.

These offers are a totally different mix of deals than the ones we include in our Dollar General weekly ad roundup. And they overlap with Dollar General's 24 Days of Savings offers you'll find in store during the month of December. So there's basically no shortage of dollar store savings in the last few months of the year.

Dollar General Deal Days are 3-day savings events that offer a mix of BOGO deals and up to 50% off thousands of items.

Dollar General likes to use lots of different names for their sales, and "Deal Days" is the name they give to their weekly holiday savings events that happen from October to December.

DG Deal Days are sort of like early Black Friday deals at Dollar General, with discounts on gifts, toys, holiday decor, kitchen appliances, and even sodas and canned goods. According to Dollar General execs, more than 6,000 items storewide get discounted during Deal Days events.

KCL predicts the next Dollar General Deal Days event will start Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025.

Dollar General hasn't officially announced the next date of their Deal Days sale, but based on what they did in recent years, we here at KCL predict that it'll take place every Thursday - Saturday from Oct. 30 until Dec. 20, 2025.

That makes for a total of eight separate Deal Days events happening between Halloween and the weekend before Christmas, and each sale features an entirely different set of offers.

How do we make our prediction?

We've noticed that Dollar General usually schedules their Deal Days events to start the Thursday before Halloween, with the final event wrapping up on the weekend before Christmas.

Here's a quick rundown of past dates for DG Deal Days that helps to inform our 2025 prediction:

Oct. 31 - Dec. 21, 2024
Oct. 26 - Dec. 23, 2023

Always shop Deal Days in store to avoid Dollar General's delivery fees.

Dollar General got rid of their store pickup service in December 2023, and now their only delivery option is through DoorDash, which comes with extra fees. So we definitely recommend shopping in store instead of on DollarGeneral.com during DG Deal Days.

Shopping in-store is the only way to apply DG coupons at checkout too, which brings me to my next tip.

Remember to clip the $5 off $25 Saturday coupon in the DG app before you shop.

Dollar-General-Clearance-Event-Coupons (no date)

If you're looking to save the most money possible during DG Deal Days, definitely plan to shop on a Saturday and make use of the $5 off $25 coupon that's only valid on Saturdays. The only drawback is that by Saturday, some of the hottest deals may already be sold out in stores.

You can clip this coupon in the DG app (download for iOS / Android), and it's only valid on the Saturday listed in the fine print. These coupons also print out at the bottom of your receipt when you make any purchase at a Dollar General store Sunday through Friday.

To use multiple $5 off $25 coupons, you'll need to split your transactions, since only one coupon can be applied per transaction.
