In my experience, Victoria’s Secret Return Policy has been very good to me. If you don’t love anything — including gifts, used, washed, and clearance items — you can exchange or return them. That takes the stress out of shopping there.
When I found out the pair of Victoria’s Secret leggings I’d been wearing religiously around the house were see-through (go figure), guess what happened? They gave me a full refund, and I used that money to buy my all-time favorite bralettes that same day.
Note: While many of Victoria’s Secret stores remain closed due to COVID-19, they’re offering free returns for online purchases. Just use their Free Return Label — valid only for orders shipped within the U.S.
1. You can return items without a receipt — but bring your photo ID.
If you don’t have a receipt, Victoria’s Secret will refund you in store credit.
Just know that Victoria’s Secret scans and saves your photo ID information to look out for anyone trying to take advantage of their return policy.
TIP: You will be limited to $250 in non-receipted returns within a 90 day period (this does not include damaged items).
2. You have 90 days to return items for a full refund.
When you return your items within 90 days of purchase with a receipt, they’ll give you a full refund in the original form of payment.
Refunds for returns made in-store typically process back to the original form of payment within three – five business days.
TIP: Due to COVID-19, Victoria’s Secret has extended their price adjustment policy up to 44 days after purchase. Just make sure to bring your original receipt, and the credit will be issued to the original form of payment.
3. … But you can return items after 90 days for store credit.
After 90 days, you can still return items, but for store credit.
TIP: After the 90 days are up, you’re in danger of not getting all your money back. If your item goes on sale after you bought it, your refund will reflect that lower price.
4. You can return online items by mail, but you can’t return store items by mail.
Unlike many other stores, Victoria’s Secret Return Policy lets you return all the items you can fit from multiple orders in one package.
This doesn’t seem like a big deal — until I bulk bought matching robes for my friend’s wedding and ended up ordering all the wrong sizes — and returning one box versus six made everything feel a little less nightmarish.
Follow these four steps, and you’ll be mailing your online order back in a jiffy:
- Place your return item(s) and packing slip into the package
- No packing slip? You can either print a blank return form or use your shipment confirmation email
- Print and securely tape the return label to your box
- Drop your return package off at USPS, and you’re all set
5. Cut the tags off? No problem!
You don’t need to still have the price tags on Victoria’s Secret or PINK items to return them.
The only exception to this is items with “Required for Return” tags. You cut that tag off and bye-bye refund.
My advice is to keep the tags on until you’re absolutely sure you’re keeping it. A Victoria’s Secret employee told me if you keep the tags on, that almost always makes the return process easier.
6. The store will return items for you if you don’t have proof of purchase.
If the Victoria’s Secret associate can’t find any information on your purchase, they will send your return back to their distribution center for you. From there, they will verify the order, and you’ll receive store credit.
This process can take anywhere from two to three weeks, so unless you like waiting for your refund, avoid this at all costs by using your email or phone number at checkout.
7. Get a full refund with a gift receipt.
As long as you have your gift receipt, you can choose to exchange your gift or get a full refund for the gifts’ original purchase price.
There’s just one catch — if the person who bought your gift used coupons or promos, the amount Victoria’s Secret refunds you will reflect that.
