Hot Chocolate Peppermint Sticks
2 blocks white chocolate – $0.92
12 peppermint candy canes – $1.25
12 large marshmallows – $0.32
1. In a small microwavable bowl, heat white chocolate one minute. Remove and stir. Continue to heat in 20-second intervals until completely melted, stirring between each interval.
2. Break the rounded “cane” portion off of each candy cane. Set aside. Insert the straight piece of each candy cane into a marshmallow.
3. Take the leftover candy cane pieces, crush them and place in a small bowl.
4. Dip the marshmallow into white chocolate about halfway. Sprinkle candy cane pieces over white chocolate. Set on a piece of wax or parchment paper and continue with remaining marshmallows. Let set 10 minutes. Dip in hot chocolate or wrap up and give away as gifts!
