If you’re a mom, you might have baby oil lying around the house — or in your stockpile. Maybe you have mineral oil lying around from a DIY project.

1. Make your own baby wipes.

You’ll need a roll of paper towels, 2¼ cups of water, 2 tablespoons of baby shampoo and 1 tablespoon of baby oil.
Cut the paper towel roll in half, and place into a container with a lid. Mix all the ingredients, and pour the mixture over the top of the towels. Remove the cardboard center, and pull up paper towel wipes!

2. Prolong the life of your razor blades.

Baby oil or mineral oil will keep your blades from rusting and will extend the life of your razors.

3. Turn your colored pencils into watercolor.
With a bit of oil on a cotton swab, you will be able to blend and soften all those rough edges and use colored pencils a little like a watercolor (or water soluble) pencil.
4. Painlessly remove bandages or stickers.

Remove bandaids, stickers, price tags from dishware or bumper stickers from a car with ease.
All you need to do is add baby oil or mineral oil to the area, let sit, and wipe away.
5. Make lava lamps with baby oil, liquid food coloring and Alka-Seltzer.

6. Use baby oil to buff leather purses and shoes.

7. Skip WD-40 to silence a squeaky door.

Warm a quarter cup of mineral oil, dab a little warmed mineral oil on your hands and pick up an egg. Run your oiled hands all over the egg, making sure to cover it completely with the mineral oil.
Store your eggs in a cool, dry place. You want the temperature to be about 68 degrees for long-term storage.
14. Clean makeup brushes.
