It’s been true for as long as I can remember: You don’t shop at Hobby Lobby without the 40% off coupon.
You could always walk in with either a paper coupon or the in-app coupon and get one regularly priced item for 40% off.
But this staple of the store’s shopping experience is on its way out.
Here’s what you need to know:
The 40% off coupon will be discontinued Feb. 28.
Hobby Lobby broke the news to employees across the country in recent days, letting them know that the 40% off coupon customers find in the weekly ad and app will be no more as of the end of February.
That said, there’s a two-week grace period, so you really have until March 14 to use your coupons.
Get the coupons while you can.
But even after they’re gone, we have plenty of other tips and tricks to save you hundreds at Hobby Lobby.
Hobby Lobby says they’re doing this so they can lower prices storewide.
The truth is, a LOT of the store is discounted at any given time, so finding “regularly priced” items for the 40% off coupon can be pretty tricky.
Without the standing discount, Hobby Lobby says they’ll be able to give “better values on thousands of items.”
Or maybe they’re sick of defending their coupons in court.
If you’re wanting to coupon at a craft store, try JoAnn instead.
While both Michaels and JoAnn have a regular “percent-off one item” coupon, JoAnn is the most coupon-friendly craft store.
Why? In some cases, they will let you stack MORE THAN ONE coupon for a single item.
But best of all, they accept competitors’ coupons, including Hobby Lobby’s. So, while you still have the Hobby Lobby 40% off coupons, use ’em at JoAnn.
