The Amazon Black Friday sale is more than a week long.
Amazon's 2024 Black Friday sale kicked off on the Thursday before Thanksgiving. While other retailers do multiple waves of deals, Amazon keeps it relatively simple, offering just one continuous sale that stretches through Cyber Monday.
New this year, Amazon had daily deal drops. A themed selection of deals dropped each day of the sale and ran only that day.
Unlike Amazon's other big sales (Prime Day in July and Prime Big Deal Days in October), its Black Friday sale is not just for Prime members. Others can shop it too.
KCL predicts the 2025 Amazon Black Friday Sale will start Nov. 20.
How do we make our prediction?
In previous years, Amazon started its Black Friday sale the Friday before Thanksgiving. But in 2024, Amazon started its Black Friday sale on a Thursday (Nov. 21).
We predict Amazon will stick to that earlier timing in 2025, kicking off its sale on Thursday Nov. 20. Whenever the Black Friday sale starts, deals will keep going without a break through Cyber Monday.
Amazon changed things up in 2024 with food deals, travel deals, and daily drops.
In addition to the usual savings on tech, clothing, toys, and appliances, Amazon introduced a few new things for Black Friday 2024:
Travel deals: Amazon's been offering travel deals for a while now, starting with a partnership with Priceline back in 2023. In 2024, Black Friday offered a range of travel deals, including flights under $100 on American, 25% off Hyatt, up to 50% off Princess Cruises, and more when you booked through this page.
A turkey deal: Through Amazon's grocery delivery service (Amazon Fresh), you could get a turkey and selection of sides to feed six people for under $5 per person. You needed to live in an area with Amazon Fresh delivery or an Amazon Fresh store to get this offer.
Daily deal drops: Every day of the Black Friday sale, Amazon dropped a new set of deals around a surprise theme.

No, Amazon doesn't price match on Black Friday.
In fact, Amazon doesn’t price match, period. That said, we often do see it price-chase competitors and offer the same price on identical products.
Some of Amazon's competitors do price match Amazon, though.
Amazon gives you extra time to return holiday purchases.
If you end up regretting a Black Friday purchase, Amazon offers an extended holiday return period that gives you until Jan. 15 to return anything purchased starting Nov. 1.
Keep an eye out for Amazon Black Friday gift card deals.
Black Friday through Cyber Monday, Amazon customers can usually save on gift cards with Lightning Deals and promotional credit offers from top brands and restaurants. In 2024, we saw up to 20% off gift cards from retailers like Bath & Body Works, Krispy Kreme, IHOP, Jamba, and Victoria's Secret.
Gift cards make great gifts, but they're also a great savings tactic, because you can buy a discounted gift card to spend at a place you regularly shop.
You don't need a Prime membership to shop Amazon Black Friday, but it does have its perks.

Amazon Cyber Monday deals start the day after Black Friday.
In 2024, Amazon transitioned seamlessly into Cyber Weekend, with Cyber Monday deals starting Nov. 30 and running through Dec. 2.
Are Amazon's Cyber Monday prices better than its Black Friday prices?
In recent years, Amazon has mostly replayed its lowest Black Friday prices, bringing them back for Cyber Monday. For example, for Amazon's own devices (Echos, Fire Tablets, etc.), we saw the price parked at the same amount from the moment Amazon's Black Friday sale kicked off through Cyber weekend (based on Keepa and CamelCamelCamel price history tracking).
But in some cases, Amazon has beaten their Black Friday pricing during their Cyber Monday sale.
In 2024, for example, they lowered the price of the Barbie DreamHouse by $13, going from $139 on Black Friday to $125 on Cyber Monday. They also took an additional $3 off a 4-pack of AirTags, going from $72.99 on Black Friday to $69.99 on Cyber Monday.
However, you can never predict which products will drop in price on Cyber Monday. So our advice is this: start with Amazon's Black Friday sale, and if you miss any deals, check back on Cyber Monday. Treat Amazon Cyber Monday more as a second chance than as an event to wait for.
