Our readers (and staff) have been going crazy over the Disney100 LEGO sets that have been making a splash over the internet. I mean, it’s hard to resist a good LEGO set that features iconic characters from our favorite movies like Enchanted, Up!, and Hocus Pocus.

And while these sets have tons of play and collector’s value, I have a secret on how to get a Disney LEGO set on Amazon for just $20. In fact, some are even 20% off right now. (Because saving on LEGOs is one of my favorite pastimes, aside from actually putting the kits together).

Shop Disney Amazon LEGO Sets Under $20

We know LEGO is notorious for its steep price tags, but these sets are all pleasantly priced under $20, an exceptional value for what’s included. And they don’t compromise on quality or creativity.

Prices for these sets are pretty set across the board at about $19.99 at all stores, but the free shipping with Prime makes Amazon your best bet for purchase. Plus, some of these kits tend to go on sale, especially during the holidays.

1. LEGO Disney Moana's Dolphin Cove Set

This retired LEGO set is the cheapest Disney option you'll find. And even though it's discontinued, can still find at a few places. Joann and Scheels both have the set in stock for the original list price of $4.99. But Amazon, on the other hand, is selling it for $8.74. While that's not as pricey as the all-time high price of $9.93 in December 2023, it's still not a good deal.

2. LEGO Disney Princess Twirling Rapunzel

This Tangled toy retails for $9.99 list price at LEGO.com, Walgreens, and Macy's. But for a better deal, consider shopping at either Walmart or Amazon since they're both selling the kit for $7.98, or 20% off. Or, if you have a Target RedCard, the extra 5% discount puts the set at $7.59 at Target.

While anything below $8 is a pretty decent deal, the lowest price I've seen is $6.39 on Amazon in winter 2024. I suggest keeping tabs on the Amazon listing and waiting until the price hits less than $7.

3. LEGO Disney The Little Mermaid Storybook Adventure

While this set retails for $19.99 at LEGO and Target, you can get it even cheaper at Amazon ($15.99) and Walmart ($6). Generally, these two retailers like to price match each others' prices or keep their prices within a few pennies of each other.

That said, the lowest I've seen this set go for in the last year is $15.99.

4. LEGO Disney Peter Pan & Wendy Storybook Adventure

As with the Little Mermaid set, the Peter Pan version is pretty consistent across retailers in terms of price. Once again, you have Target and LEGO both selling for list price, but Amazon and Walmart knocking 20% off.

Just make sure that when you're shopping, you don't pay more than $16, though the lowest we've seen was $14.99 in January 2024.

5. LEGO Disney Elsa and the Nokk Storybook Adventure

This Frozen 2 set seems to follow a different pricing trend. This now sold out set was last available on the LEGO site for $13.99. It retails for the original list price of $19.99 at Amazon, Kohl's, and Scheels. And the worst deal is currently $27.30 from a third-party seller via Walmart.

If you're a big Amazon fan, then the lowest price we've see it on Amazon for is $15.97 (Plus free shipping with Prime). Since we don't anticipate a restock on the official LEGO site, aim to pay no more than $16.

6. Lego Disney Antonio’s Magical Door

LEGO retired this product so it might be harder to find this set, but that doesn't mean you can't still find it. Currently, the set sells for $19.99, aka list price, at Amazon, Walmart, and Barnes & Noble.

But, the price of this set fluctuates quite a bit. The lowest price we've seen was on Amazon for $14.99. This super low price was around for about a week, then it went back to list price. If you're interested in the set, check the listing often and pounce when it gets to $15.

Do Disney LEGO sets ever go on sale?

A Little Mermaid storybook Lego set closed up

Retired LEGO sets will go on clearance when the retirement is initially announced.

When LEGO first announces that they're discontinuing a set, they'll drop the price pretty quickly. As in the case of the LEGO Disney Elsa and the Nokk Storybook Adventure, LEGO actually dropped the price by 30% off for their clearance sale. If you're interested in a set and can wait the one to three years it takes for LEGO to retire the product, you'll see some steep discounts.

That said, you've got to time it just right. If you wait too long after the clearance price goes live, the major retailers will sell out of their stock. When that happens, third-party sellers will jack up the price because of the limited supply. Going back to our Frozen 2 LEGO example, we're already starting to see third party sellers charge as much as $28.

Will I see discounts on Disney LEGO sets on Black Friday?

Around the 2023 holiday shopping season, we saw many of the above sets go on sale for about 20% off. Those were pretty much the deepest discounts we saw on Disney LEGO sets. While that's 10% more expensive than clearance sales, it beats waiting up to three years for a set to retire. If that 10% difference doesn't bother you, then shop during Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

How do I know that I'm getting the best price on a set?

CamelCamelCamel is a website and browser plugin that shows an Amazon item's price history. Since Amazon and Walmart price match each other pretty consistently, you can often assume the CamelCamelCamel history also applies to Walmart's online prices. When reviewing the item's price history, you can see what the lowest price the item sold for and determine how much you should aim to pay.

Just note that because inflation has been going nuts since 2021, you should note the lowest price in the last year for a good point of reference. Sadly, those sweet, sweet 2019 prices are long gone. So waiting for those to make a comeback isn't really practical.

I'm not satisfied with my Disney LEGO set, how do I return it?

Sometimes it happens, you get a product you were initially excited for just to find it's not really a good fit for you. Or maybe you were sent the wrong item in the first place and want to swap it for the right one. In that case, returning the items are no biggie. Here are some step-by-step guides for returns at major LEGO retailers:
