They are calling it the “Free-Pointer” promotion, and it’s different from the promotions of previous years where they hid free Chipotle coupons in commercials during the games. Considering they just ran a promotion in honor of the Stanley Cup playoffs, we’re happy to see Chipotle isn’t leaving basketball out of the freebie mix.

Check Chipotle’s Twitter for a code to text to 888-222 for free Chipotle.
Whenever someone scores a 3-pointer in the NBA Championship Finals, Chipotle will tweet out a code from @ChipotleTweets. Once you get the code, text it to 888-222, and you’ll get a coupon for a free Chipotle entree.
But you’ll need to rush to get these coupons since only 300 burritos will be given out per 3-pointer made. Chipotle will only give 10,500 per game, so there will be multiple chances to get a free Chipotle burrito.
These coupons can be used until June 30.
The third game of the NBA Championship Finals is tonight.
If you aren’t familiar with the NBA Championship Finals schedule, you’re not alone. While you can constantly refresh the Chipotle Twitter page to get the code, you can guarantee a code being dropped by watching the game.
Here’s the schedule that you can expect for the upcoming games (times are in EST):
- Game 1: Thursday, June 1 at 8:30 p.m.
- Game 2: Sunday, June 4 at 8:00 p.m.
- Game 3: Wednesday, June 7 at 8:30 p.m.
- Game 4: Friday, June 9 at 8:30 p.m.
- Game 5: Monday, June 12 at 8:30 p.m.
- Game 6: Thursday, June 15 at 8:30 p.m.
- Game 7: Sunday, June 18 at 8:00 p.m.
Note: Not every game will be played during the Championship Finals, since the games are best of seven.
