The beginning of a new year really just means one thing: The Girl Scouts are about to dismantle our healthy eating resolutions. I’m not even mad.

And this year, the Scouts are taking away one more excuse for you not to buy their cookies by announcing a new, gluten-free addition to its lineup of baked goods.

The gluten-free Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookie is here.

The Girl Scouts website describes it as having “rich caramel, semi-sweet chocolate chips, and a hint of sea salt in a chewy, gluten-free cookie.”

It’s the second gluten-free Girl Scout cookie offering.

The buttery favorite Toffee-tastic debuted in 2015 and was the first gluten-free Girl Scout cookie.

The Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookie is 170 calories for 3 cookies.

It does contain milk and egg — in case you’ve got an intolerance for those.

The new cookie brings the total available cookies for 2019 to 11.

The Girl Scouts use two different bakeries to make their cookies, so product availability depends on where you live (and stock on hand).

When and where cookies go on sale also depends on your location. Find cookies near you at the Girl Scout cookies official website by putting in your ZIP code.

The cookies cost around $5 a box — and support Girl Scouts programs.

But if you can’t drop that kind of cash, there are always Girl Scout cookie-flavored Quaker Chewy bars. We’ve seen them for as cheap as $0.75/box! (Keep up with KCL’s Quaker deals page.)
