Well, 2021 is off to a great start. We’ve got poisonous dog food, massage guns that catch fire, and now Hot Pockets with more than just pepperoni and cheese.

Before you bite into this microwavable treat, you’ll want to make sure your particular box of Hot Pockets hasn’t been recalled by Nestlé USA.

Here’s what you need to know:

Your Pepperoni Pizza Hot Pockets could cut you.

According to Nestlé’s press release, select batches of Pepperoni Pizza Hot Pockets with Garlic Buttery Crust made between Nov. 13 and 16 may contain “foreign material” — clear plastic and/or glass — and pose a “choking or laceration risk.”

Consumers alerted Nestlé about the plastic and glass Hot Pockets, sparking the recall.

Check the box to see if your Hot Pockets are recalled.

Just under the “best before” date, you’ll see a 10-digit number called the batch code. Don’t eat your Hot Pockets if they have a “best before” date of FEB 2022 and have one of the following batch codes:

  • 0318544624
  • 0319544614
  • 0320544614
  • 0321544614

The recall doesn’t affect any of the other Hot Pockets products, including Pepperoni Pizza Hot Pockets in 2- 5- and 17-count packages.

If your Hot Pockets are recalled, return them or destroy them.

Nestlé instructs shoppers to return the Hot Pockets to the store for a refund.
