Pumpkin Spice fans are going to be celebrating April Fools’ Day like never before at Krispy Kreme! That’s because Krispy Kreme Pumpkin Spice Doughnuts are returning to stores for one weekend only — April 1 and 2. That’s right — it’s on April Fools’ Day weekend, but it’s no joke.
We originally expected them to come back in early August, so Krispy Kreme has surprised us with their announcement.
We’ve found out how you can get your Pumpkin Spice Doughnuts, what’s happening with the Krispy Kreme Spring Doughnuts, and savings tips that’ll help you spend less on your Krispy Kreme April Fools’ Day purchase.

The Pumpkin Spice Doughnut is returning to Krispy Kreme on April Fools’ Day weekend (April 1 & 2).
Why are they bringing this back? To mess with us? Hard to tell the thoughts behind this promo, but Krispy Kreme is putting their Pumpkin Spice Original Glazed Doughnut back on the menu Saturday and Sunday, April 1 and 2.
Each doughnut will cost around $2.29 individually and $16.99 for a dozen, depending on your Krispy Kreme location. They’ll be available in store and via online orders (app/website).
Unlike the August Krispy Kreme pumpkin spice release, the only fall doughnut that’ll be available is the Pumpkin Spice Original Glazed. No Pumpkin Cheesecake, Pumpkin Latte, or Spice Cake doughnuts until the official release in August.
You can order these Pumpkin Spice Doughnuts alongside the Krispy Kreme Spring Doughnuts.
Krispy Kreme celebrated the beginning of spring on March 27 with the release of the Krispy Kreme Mini Spring Doughnuts. These doughnuts will be available until April 9, so you’ll be able to pick them up with your pumpkin spice dozen too.
A box of 16 mini spring doughnuts will cost you around $17.49 depending on your location. Check the Krispy Kreme app or website for the most accurate pricing information.
Use a discounted Krispy Kreme gift card to get up to 20% off your April Fools’ Day Pumpkin Spice order.

Expect the official return of Pumpkin Spice products in early August.

Just like last year, we expect the return of all our favorite pumpkin spice products (like the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte) to return in August. Here’s when everything released last year:
- Krispy Kreme Pumpkin Spice Doughnuts: Aug. 8
- Dunkin’ Pumpkin Spice Latte: Aug. 17
- Dairy Queen Pumpkin Pie Blizzard: Aug. 29
- Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte: Aug. 30
We expect the release of pumpkin spice products, like candles, soaps, and cookies, to return to stores in August as well.
