JCPenney's Cyber Monday: Expect 40% Off With Promo Code

We love that JCPenney is nothing if not old school. And the JCPenney Cyber Monday Sale proves it. It's a true cyber sale, with the deals existing only online. It usually kicks off the Sunday after Thanksgiving and runs through Tuesday. And there's usually a promo code (good for 40% off in 2025).

Here are the most important dates you need to know for 2026:

• Nov. 29 - Dec. 1 (predicted): JCPenney's Cyber Monday sale (expect the 40% off promo code to run the whole time).

Note that the promo code takes off 10% instead of 40% for certain categories like beauty items.

• Here's when to shop: The JCPenney Cyber Monday sale kicks off the Sunday after Thanksgiving. JCPenney updates its site at midnight ET, so you can start shopping at 12:01 a.m. on Nov. 29.

Tips on How to Make Your Deal Shopping a Success

1. Shopping Options: While many other Cyber Monday sales are now online and in stores, the JCPenney Cyber Monday sale is online only.

2. Doorbusters: Unlike JCPenney's Black Friday Sale, which aims to lure shoppers in-store with exclusive coupon drops and giveaways, their Cyber Monday Sale has no in-store gimmicks. You'll find plenty of discounts, but they're all online — no door busting required.

3. Store Policies:

• Price Matching: JCPenney’s price match policy guarantees the lowest price on an item if you find it for less at another retailer, even during Cyber Monday. JCPenney has a 365-days a year price matching guarantee. Just bring proof of the competitor’s price. An ad or a mobile screen should work as long as a JCPenney associate can verify it.

• Extended Holiday Returns: JCPenney gives you extra time to return holiday purchases. Anything purchased Oct. 1 or later can be returned (with original or gift receipt) through Jan. 31.

• Discounted Shipping: JCPenney shipping is free on orders over $75, and store pickup is always free. Given that their Cyber Sale is only available online, we anticipate they'll lower their free ship threshold for the duration of the event. However what that amount threshold will be is currently unknown.
