I know, I know. I’m kinda behind the ball on this one, because the uber-popular Aldi rose ice cream cones officially came back to Aldi stores last Wednesday (April 26). But I’m still finding plenty of boxes of the Strawberries & Cream flavor in my local Aldi store, so I couldn’t help but share in case you need to stock up on this Aldi deal for Mother’s Day! Or summertime. Or anytime, really.
But back to Mother’s Day. Here’s my logic: You could pay around $1 per real rose if you buy your Mother’s Day flowers at Trader Joe’s or Walmart. Or you could pay $1 per ICE CREAM CONE rose when you buy these little babies at Aldi. Makes perfect sense to me, and it’ll also make sense to my mom when I stock up her freezer with boxes for $4 each.
I should tell you that these rose-shaped cones are not technically “ice cream,” they’re ice desserts, as the fine print on the box specifies. But at under 200 calories a cone and just $1 each, I’ll settle. Here’s what to know about Aldi’s rose ice cream cones and all the other specialty flavors of cones they’ll release throughout the year.

The Strawberries & Cream Aldi rose ice cream cones came out on April 26 — but I’m still finding plenty in stock at my store!
The Sundae Shoppe Strawberries & Cream Rose Cones at Aldi aren’t a new item, but this is the first time they’re making their appearance in 2023. Go straight to the frozen section at your Aldi store and take a peek at the inventory. You’ll likely find at least a few boxes of the Strawberries & Cream are still in stock, even though they were technically released as limited-edition “Aldi Finds” on April 26.
As for the flavor, it’s a blend of strawberries and cream all packed into a cocoa-flavored waffle cone.
TIP: Aldi releases a new weekly ad every Wednesday, so Wednesday morning is the best time to shop at Aldi for the biggest selection of the latest limited-edition “Aldi Finds.” You can see the Aldi Weekly Ad on Aldi.com or in the Aldi app (iOS / Android).
A box of four Aldi rose ice cream cones costs $3.99 (or about $1 per cone).
These aren’t quite as cheap as the holiday ice cream pops that Aldi releases in November ($2.39 for a four-pack), but you’re still not breaking the bank with a box of four Strawberries & Cream rose ice cream cones for $3.99.
This is the same price we saw for Aldi’s rose ice cream cones last year. But in April 2021, a box of four Strawberries & Cream cones was just $3.49.
They come individually wrapped with a protective bubble to keep the rose design intact.
As soon as I showed the picture on the box to my husband, he was suspicious that they’d actually look that good. But color him surprised when he saw that each cone comes individually wrapped and topped with a plastic bubble to protect the delicate rose design.
The Aldi rose ice cream cones come out a few times a year, including in a Chocolate Hazelnut & Vanilla flavor.
Look for the Nutella-inspired flavor of Aldi rose ice cream cones to come out around mid-July. At least, that’s when we saw them arrive in stores last year.
But there are tons more specialty Aldi ice cream cones we’ll be (patiently) waiting for this year.
Throughout the warmer months (May through August), you’ll find all sorts of specialty ice cream cones in the Aldi freezer section. To give you an idea of when they’ll hit your stores, check out this list of Aldi’s specialty ice cream cones:
Aldi Mermaid Cones, 4-count, $3.99
Look for these colorful Mermaid Cones to come out in July or August. They’re a green vanilla dessert in a wafer cone topped with blue raspberry flavored sauce and colorful sprinkles.
Aldi Unicorn Cones, 4-count, $3.99
We saw these raspberry and vanilla-flavored cones (topped with more raspberry flavor) come out at Aldi in mid-July 2022.
Galactic Cones, 4-count, $3.99
The combination of chocolate and vanilla flavor topped with raspberry somehow makes these “galactic,” but we’re not complaining. We last saw the Galactic Cones hit Aldi shelves in mid-July 2022 (at the same time as the Unicorn Cones and Chocolate Hazelnut & Vanilla Rose Cones).
Snowflake Cones, 4-count, $3.99
Look for these holiday varieties to drop around the week of Thanksgiving. They’re flavored with raspberries and cream filling and topped with raspberry-flavored sauce and sugar sprinkles.
Holiday Ice Cream Pops, 4-count, $2.39
We usually see three varieties of these holiday character ice cream pops show up around Thanksgiving: there’s the Snowman (strawberry and vanilla), the Christmas Tree (vanilla and white chocolate), and the Reindeer (caramel, chocolate, and strawberry). They’re even cheaper per-pop than the ice cream cones!
Lepre-Cones, 4-count, $3.99
The St. Patrick’s Day-themed ice cream cones at Aldi come out in early March. They’re mint and cocoa flavored and topped with cookie crumbles.
