Look, I’ve got serious love for MAC cosmetics.
My apologies if I’ve walk-blocked you in the mall, but you’ll be in a hurry, too, once you check out how much stuff you can get for free at MAC.
Here are my secrets:
1. Buy the refillable palettes and save 58%.
Then purchase the refill pans in your favorite colors.
You get the same products, but because you’re not paying for the expensive packaging, again and again, you save a bundle.
A single eyeshadow costs $7 instead of the usual $17 (58% off!), and a blush pan is $17 instead of $24 (29% off).
Note: Refillable items are only available at freestanding MAC stores or online (with free shipping) — not at department store makeup counters.
2. Trade empty containers for FREE lipstick, lip gloss or eyeshadow.
To participate in the Back to MAC program, either bring in six of your empty MAC containers to a MAC retail location or department store counter, or fill out an online form and mail them your empties.
You’re rewarded for your recycling with free lipstick (valued at $18.50) — or if you go to the MAC store, complimentary lipstick, lip gloss or eyeshadow.
3. Save up to 10% with discounted gift cards from Raise and Gift Card Granny.
While department store coupons aren’t typically valid at makeup counters, gift cards are.
Raise and Gift Card Granny allow you to purchase Macy’s, Nordstrom and MAC cards at a discount. Department store gift cards are only able to be used at the MAC counters in their store, and MAC gift cards are only redeemable in MAC retail stores.
This can save you anywhere from 5-10%.
4. Save up to 40% on products on MAC Goodbyes.
MAC Goodbyes are online only and include products that are being phased out or discontinued.
