Once you’ve finished your coffee, ask your barista for a refill at the register, scan your Starbucks Rewards account, and you’ll get it for free.
You can still get refills on a discount if you aren’t a Starbucks Rewards member.
If you aren’t a member of the Starbucks Rewards program, it still won’t cost you the full amount of a new drink to get a refill; you’ll only pay about $0.50. But joining the program is free, which is better than paying even $0.50.
TIP: If you bring your own cup, you can get $0.10 off your drink and 25 “Stars” added to your account.
You’ll need to stay at your Starbucks location to receive unlimited refills.
To keep getting free Starbucks refills, you need to stay at the Starbucks location you received your drink. If you leave for whatever reason, your free refills will end, and you’ll have to purchase a new drink. Baristas can also deny you a refill for whatever reason, like if they are too busy or think you’ve had too many.
If you bring in your own cup, you won’t be able to use it for this discount since they only accept clean reusable cups behind the counter. However, they will provide you with a cup of their own that you can use for refills.
You also won’t be able to take advantage of this benefit if you use the drive-thru or pick up drinks from different locations.
Additions to your Starbucks orders will still cost you.
Still want to get a sweet coffee or latte? You can do that with your free refill if you pay an additional fee for your coffee. When you go to the register, mention the alterations you want and they’ll only charge you for the add-ins.
Here’s what it’ll cost you for each:
Flavorings and Syrups: $0.80
Dairy Additions: $1.25
Cold Foam: $1.25
