Victoria's Secret Return Policy

Victoria's Secret Return Policy has been very good to me. If you don't love anything — including gifts, used, washed, and clearance items — you can exchange or return them. That takes the stress out of shopping there.

1. The Victoria's Secret return policy gives you 30 days for a full refund.

Refunds for returns made in-store typically process back to the original form of payment within 3- 5 business days.

You'll get a longer return window during the holidays.

For any Victoria's Secret purchases you make from Oct. 15 - Dec. 24, you have until Jan. 23, 2023, to make a return thanks to their extended holiday return policy.

2. Returns after 30 days get store credit.

After 30 days, you can still return items, but for store credit.

You should still aim for the 30-day window, though. After that, you're in danger of not getting all your money back. If your item goes on sale after you bought it, your refund will reflect that lower price.

3. You can return items without a receipt — but bring your photo ID.

If you don't have a receipt, Victoria's Secret will refund you in store credit. You might not get all your money back, though. They will only refund you for the lowest selling price.

You will need a valid photo ID to make your return, and Victoria's Secret will keep track. You can only return up to $250-worth of merchandise every 90 days without a receipt. If your item was defective, it won't count towards this $250 cap.

4. You also have 30 days to return Victoria's Secret online orders.

Unlike many other stores, Victoria's Secret Return Policy lets you return all the items you can fit from multiple orders in one package.

This didn't seem like a big deal to me — until I bulk-bought matching robes for my friend's wedding and ended up ordering all the wrong sizes — and returning one box versus six made everything feel a little less nightmarish.

Follow these four steps, and you'll be mailing your online order back in a jiffy:

1. Place your return item(s) and packing slip into the package.

2. No packing slip? You can either

   print a blank return

   form or use your shipment confirmation email.

3. Print and securely tape the return label to your box.

4. Drop your return package off at USPS, and you're all set.

5. Online orders can be returned in store, but sometimes it can take a while.

You can return items you ordered online in-store. But make sure to bring your packing slip, receipt, or order number. If you don't have proof of purchase and the store associate can't find any info on your order, the store itself will ship it back for you.

This process can take anywhere from two to three weeks, so unless you like waiting for your refund, bring your proof of purchase.

6. Get a full refund with a gift receipt.

VictoruAs long as you have your gift receipt, you can choose to exchange your gift or get a full refund for the gift's original purchase price. If the person who bought your gift used coupons or promos, the amount Victoria's Secret refunds you will reflect that.

7. Cut the tags off? No problem!

You don't need to still have the price tags on Victoria's Secret or PINK items to return them.

The only exception to this is items with "Required for Return" tags. You cut that tag off and bye-bye refund.

TIP: You don't need price tags attached to make a return. But if you cut off any tags that are sewn into your item, they become unreturnable.

8. You can return lingerie, swimwear, and bras at Victoria's Secret.

You can return any item you don't like to Victoria's Secret. While some stores prohibit you from returning swimwear, lingerie, and bras, Victoria's Secret has no such rule. Which is great, because those items are their bread and butter.

It's also a really good reason to make sure you triple-wash any items you buy at Victoria's Secret, though. There's just no way to be sure someone else hasn't already tried these incredibly intimate items on before you — in the dressing room or at home.

9. Redeem low-value gift cards for cash.

VicTypically, you can't return gift cards or redeem them for cash. There's an exception, though! If your gift card balance is under $10, Victoria's Secret will allow for a cash refund.

10. Come back within 14 days for a price adjustment.

Let's say you bought a bra last week for $80. You're browsing your email and see an advertisement for that same bra marked down to $60.

With Victoria's Secret price adjustment policy, you can get your $20 back by visiting the store and showing your receipt. You can do this once per item, and it must be within 14 days of your original purchase.

You can even claim a price adjustment if you shopped online, as long as it's within 14 days of the ship date of your purchase.

11. Promotions and coupons will get deducted from your refund.

If you used a coupon when making your original purchase, that will be reflected in your refund. This is a pretty standard policy. You can only get refunded for money you actually spent.

Where Victoria's Secret goes further, though, is with promotions. Let's say you got a free pair of panties with your purchase. If you want to hold onto the panties but return the other item you paid for, the price of the panties will be deducted from your refund. This is probably the worst part of the Victoria's Secret return policy as it can actually end up costing you money to make a return.
