1. Create an account in the free Publix app.
Publix doesn’t require you to be a member of any loyalty program in order to get sale prices, but if you want Publix digital coupons (and duh. you do.) you’ll have to create an account using your ten digit phone number. You can also create a Publix account online.
2. Use your phone number to redeem Publix digital coupons at checkout.
To save a digital coupon to your account, simply click the plus sign on the coupon, and it will be saved to your account. It will then be immediately available for use. Load coupons at Publix.com or in the Publix app. There is no limit to the number of coupons you can clip. Coupon savings will be itemized on your receipt.
3. Most Publix digital coupons have a limit of one per transaction.
The number of times a coupon can be used is up to the manufacturer, but most coupons can be used only once. When a coupon can be redeemed multiple times within a single transaction, an icon displaying the number of times it can be redeemed will appear on the coupon.
Expiration dates appear on each coupon, and expired coupons will be removed from your account automatically.
4. You can only use one manufacturer coupon per item, even if one is digital and one is paper.
One of the most important Publix couponing 101 things to know: savings are limited to one manufacturer coupon per item purchased. Should a paper coupon be accepted for an item, the digital coupon will not be accepted and will remain in your account for future use. More information is available in the Publix coupon policy.
5. On Publix private label items, you CAN use a paper and digital coupon together on the purchase of one item.
Digital and paper coupons for private label items (such as Publix, Publix Premium, GreenWise, Publix Deli or Publix Bakery) may be combined for use on the same item.
6. Use Grocery & Health and Beauty Advantage flyer coupons on top of manufacturer coupons.
Publix releases a new Grocery Advantage Buy Flyer and Health & Beauty Advantage Buy Flyer every few weeks. These flyers are packed full of special savings and Publix store coupons that can be stacked with manufacturer coupons.
7. New Publix deals go live every Wednesday or Thursday, depending on your Publix location.
There are two Publix weekly ad cycles: Wednesday through Tuesday or Thursday through Wednesday.
8. Submit Publix receipts to Stocking Spree 365 to get a $10 Publix gift card for every $50 spent on participating items.
Spend $50 on participating Stocking Spree products, upload your receipt(s), and receive a $10 Publix gift card. Submit for up to twelve gift cards in 2020.

9. Publix has dozens of new BOGO deals every week.
Publix is all about BOGOs. They have dozens of BOGOs every week. And they allow two manufacturer coupons to be used in a buy one get one free deal. Publix coupon policy states “For a buy-one-get-one-free (BOGO) offer, each item is considered a separate purchase.”
When it comes to BOGO manufacturer coupons, the rules are different. If you’re redeeming a manufacturer coupon for buy one toothbrush, get one free, you cannot use any other manufacturer coupons on either of the two items you’re purchasing.
10. Publix signage will sometimes tell you if there’s a coupon available for a given item.
If there is a Publix coupon available for an item in store, it will be indicated on the price tag.
Price tags also contain useful comparison prices from local competitors like Kroger or Walmart.
11. The Publix Promise guarantees that any item ringing up above the advertised price will be sold to the customer for free.
The Publix Promise guarantees that if during checkout, the scanned price of an item (excluding alcohol and tobacco products) exceeds the shelf price or advertised price, Publix will give the customer one of that item free. If you’re buying more than one of the item, Publix will charge the lower price for the remaining items.
12. Publix’s Instacart grocery delivery charges higher prices and a delivery fee.
On the inflated prices, Publix states, “The increased price covers the costs of Instacart providing the overall service and in-store shopper. Publix is not attempting to profit from this service and is not collecting additional fees from customers to use it.” Instacart costs $3.99 for deliveries over $35, and $7.99 for anything under that, or $99/year for unlimited delivery on orders over $35.
Paper coupons are not redeemable through Instacart, but you can use any digital coupons on the Instart/Publix site. Not all Publix deals and promotions are available, but most BOGOs are. Shop Publix online.
13. Publix offers curbside pickup at select locations.
Publix curbside pickup is free, but since the pickup program is also run by Instacart, prices may be inflated compared to on-shelf pricing.

14. Publix accepts competitor coupons. . . like, all of them.
Publix accepts competitor coupons, including those for private-label items. Publix also accepts BOGO free and buy-one-get-two-free coupons from competitors.
Publix even accepts coupons for prescriptions from all local retail pharmacies. And Publix will accept competitor coupons that require you to be a member of a reward or loyalty program.
Each location only accepts nearby competitor coupons. A list of stores will be posted in each store, and it may differ from store to store.
15. Publix even accepts coupons like Target’s $5 gift card offers.
Publix accepts competitor coupons for “free $5 gift card with the purchase of an item or items” coupons: for example, a coupon for “Buy both Raid Max Bug Barriers 1 gallon Starter Kit and Refill, Receive a $5 store gift card.”
Publix coupon policy states, “If we carry the identical items named on the coupon, you’ll receive a $5 Publix gift card with the required purchase.”
Even if an approved competitor has a coupon for $5 off a $25 order when you sign up to receive communications from them, Publix will take that coupon.
16. Plus, you can use a manufacturer coupon with the competitor coupon.
A manufacturer’s coupon can be combined with a Publix coupon or with a competitor’s coupon.
17. Publix has a limit of 8 identical coupons per day.
Publix will only accept eight of the same coupons per day, per household, regardless of the flavors or varieties of a product you purchase.
18. Publix gives rain checks for out-of-stock items. And their rain check policies are pretty great.
QUESTION: I have a rain check and a coupon for an item, but the coupon is now expired, though it was valid on the date the rain check was issued. Can I still use the coupon on the item?
ANSWER: Yes; Publix will accept the coupon that was valid on the date the rain check was issued.
QUESTION: How many items or deals can be issued per rain check?
ANSWER: A rain check can be issued for up to 8 single items, or up to 4 deals, not exceeding 20 items.
19. Always look at the Publix information center circular when you shop.
Every Publix store has an Information Center circular display near the front door. This circular is where you’ll find the Publix Weekly Ad, Publix Coupon Flyers and other store information. Sometimes you’ll even find manufacturer coupons on the display that vendors have left in the store!
