You’re going to want to grab some Lysol coupons, friends.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency reported this week that the cleaning products manufacturer has two products on the shelves that specifically kill the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2).

Here’s what you need to know about Lysol Disinfectant Spray and Lysol Disinfectant Max Cover Mist:

Lysol Disinfectant Spray & Max Cover Mist will kill coronavirus after 2 minutes.

Lab testing found that when used on hard, non-porous surfaces, Lysol Disinfectant Spray and Lysol Disinfectant Max Cover Mist will kill the virus two minutes after contact.

Important: Hopefully this goes without saying, but these products are for external use only, on surfaces. Don’t ingest them.

The EPA is still testing other cleaning products for coronavirus.

While the EPA hasn’t said how many products they’ve tested so far, they did say that these two Lysol products were the first to show effectiveness specifically against SARS-CoV-2.

Expect to pay just under $6.00 per bottle of these products — before coupons.

Most Lysol coupons — including Lysol Disinfectant Spray and Lysol Disinfectant Max Cover Mist — are valid for $0.25 off one or $0.50 off two. We typically find the lowest prices on Lysol at Target.

Right now, we’re finding Lysol Max Cover Disinfectant Mist (15 fl oz) and Lysol Disinfectant Spray (19 fl oz) varieties for between $5.50 and $5.75 per bottle at both Target and Walmart.

Your other cleaning products are probably just fine, the EPA says.

The EPA has a list of more than 420 products that were shown to be effective against viruses that are harder to kill than SARS-CoV-2, so chances are, they’re working just fine for your sanitization needs.

While the EPA is comfortable recommending these 420+ products in the fight against coronavirus, only the two products so far have shown enough evidence for specifically killing the pathogen.
