Recently, I became a member of Kellogg's Family Rewards, a free program that provides rewards just for purchasing Kellogg's products. I am loving all the perks I've received!
So if you buy Kellogg's products (whether frequently or occasionally), consider signing up for the Family Rewards program. Here's an overview of how to get started and what's in it for you:
What is Kellogg's Family Rewards?
Kellogg's Family Rewards is a free online customer loyalty program. After a quick, no-commitment sign-up, users enter numerical codes printed inside boxes of Kellogg's products. Points vary by product; sometimes, a box of Eggo waffles will net 50 points while a box of Frosted Flakes will net 100 (other times, special promotions result in double points or bonus points per entry). Points then accumulate electronically and can be redeemed for prizes—from high-value product coupons and magazine subscriptions to gift cards, promotional gifts and more.
How to get free codes
Scour your pantry and recycling bin for opened boxes of products to nab codes. Additionally, be on the lookout for free codes—many are released via the program’s email messages. Other free codes are released by Kellogg's sporadically. For instance, after signing up, anyone can enter HOWITWORKS20PNTS to get a free 20-point credit in their account!
Other free codes in the past month have included:
- GRAINSDAIRYFRUIT – 50 points
- THREEDAYVACATION – 25 points
- EUROPEANVACATION – 50 points
- KELLOGGSFREEBOOK – 50 points
- BACKTOSCHOOLPOLL – 25 points
- GOODFORYOUCEREAL – 25 points
- FOOTBALLTAILGATE – 25 points
Note: Some of these codes may no longer be available for entry into certain accounts since promotional codes are subject to change.
Taking advantage of bonus points
Kellogg's Family Rewards offers routine promotions that allow singular codes to be turned into multiple codes. For instance, through November 30th, get double points for any Nutri-Grain bar code entered. Through December 31st, the double-point offer is also valid for any Eggo Nutri-Grain Waffle code.
Sometimes, the bonus points codes are offered for newly released products. Through December 2nd, score double points from Morningstar Farms Buffalo Chik Patties, Corn Flakes Extra Cereal, Special K Chocolatey Strawberry Cereal, Special K Chili Lime Cracker Chips, or Special K Deluxe Egg and Cheese Flatbread Breakfast Sandwiches. And don't forget your holiday entertaining needs—you'll also get double points for every code entered from a box of Keebler Town House or Club crackers.
Note: You can always check on valid bonus-points promotions under the "Bonus Points" tab of the Kellogg's Family Rewards site.
Other ways to get codes
Some people just don't like to take the time to save and enter codes, so ask family, friends, co-workers and neighbors who don’t use the program to save codes from their products. You can also get unused codes from packages you find at your local recycling center.
You can redeem your points for coupons, gift cards, housewares, electronics, toys and even donations and sweepstakes entries. Check the electronic rewards catalog for all available rewards. Here are some examples of the variety of rewards available:
- 10 points for a Disney digital book
- 500 points for a 75-cents-off coupon on PopTarts
- 2000 points for a nostalgic-pattered reusable grocery tote
- 5000 points for an OXO brownie spatula
- 7000 points for iLuv earbuds
- 25,000 points for a Wilson Roger Federer Jr. 25" tennis racket
Once you find a reward you’re interested in, don't wait to redeem. Some items "sell out" and are not available for long.
Net free coupons just for being a member
You’ll love seeing emails from Kellogg's in your inbox. Every week or two, I get an email that lists double-points promotions and (my favorite part) links me to printable coupons. I don't believe there's ever been an email where I didn't use at least one of the available coupons. And some are as high as $1 off!
