There are plenty of ways to avoid paying full price at Great Wolf Lodge if you book early and watch for sales. But the $84 Flash Sale (officially called the 8.4 Day Sale of ) is famous. It happens every Aug. 4 (get it, 8/4?) and gives families a discounted room rate starting at $84 a night , which includes water park access.
In 2025, we saw the sale on Aug. 4 as usual. The $84 per night rate covered the first two people on your booking, and additional guests paid a fee of $24 a night.

The 8.4 Day Sale at Great Wolf Lodge is an annual 1-day event, with a promo code that gets you a room rate as low as $84 per night.
The Great Wolf Lodge 8.4 Day sale gets its name from both the date it happens (Aug. 4) and the 84-degree ambient temperature of these indoor water parks. Rooms start as low as $84 a night (includes two guests). You'll need to get the promo code from Great Wolf Lodge's site to get the rate.
This promo applies only to a certain range of dates, but it usually covers bookings into December.
Expect the next Great Wolf Lodge $84 sale on Aug. 4, 2026.

How do we make our prediction?
This sale has happened every year since 2023 on Aug. 4. It's a 1-day-only flash sale. During the 2025 sale, you could book reservation dates through Dec. 18.
While rooms start at $84 a night, you'll probably end up paying more.
While the deal includes the room and water park admission, it doesn't cover resort fees (which are charged at some properties). Plus, in 2025, the deal only covered the first two people in your booking (in 2024, it covered four). Beyond those first two guests, you had to pay a per-person fee of $24 a night. So was it still worth it? Let's do the math.
Say you were booking for a family of four. It was $84 per night for the first two guests, and each additional guest cost $24 per night. So you'd be paying $132 per night ($33 per person per night) for a family of four.
When I look up rooms for four at my nearest Great Wolf Lodge, I see that it would normally cost me $239 per night ($59.75) per person, so I'd still be saving 45% on my booking. Other locations are pricier, so you might end up saving more.
So this deal is still worth it and one of the better discounts Great Wolf Lodge offers throughout the year. But there are other deals. In fact, in February 2025, we saw a rate of $25 per person for spring and early-summer bookings, which got you a room for $100 for a family of four. We've also seen Groupon rates at Great Wolf Lodge for as low as $19.79 (assuming you stay at least two nights and have six guests).
Expect there to be a limited number of rooms at the $84 rate.
The fine print for this promotion usually says "limited number of rooms available for each date." So if you have specific dates in mind and the rooms slated for this deal sell out, you're going to have to pay full price. I suggest being flexible with your dates for that reason.
There are also blackout dates, so don't get your hopes up for popular weekends.
