One of my favorite annual holiday traditions for is dressing up my family in matching pajamas. And throughout the years, I learned that family Christmas pajamas need to be checked off my holiday shopping list early. In 2023, deals are already live now and have started as early as late October.
For instance, Carter’s has matching pajamas in full stock in several patterns and colors. And you can save 50% as part of a special timely deal. Target’s line is also back, and you can save 5% if you have a Target RedCard.
Keep in mind that many of these links, specifically from Target, Kohl’s, and Hanna Anderson, lead to individual pieces of pajama sets per one family member. The options from JCPenney, Temu, Walmart, Old Navy, and Amazon reflect prices for a two-piece set for one family member.

Which stores have the best deals on family Christmas pajamas?
Last year in 2022, the best deal on kids’ Christmas pajamas was $7 (regularly $10) for Cat & Jack Toddler Pajamas at Target. In our digging, we found that Walmart, Kohl’s, JCPenney, Old Navy, and sometimes even Amazon can have pretty good deals.
This year, we’re seeing that you should shop for Christmas pajamas well before the actual holidays. In late October and now in November, we’re seeing several retailers mark down last season’s or even newly-released Christmas pajama sets. The best deal we’re seeing now is from Temu, offering a two-piece Christmas pajama set for one family member at just under $7.
Our biggest takeaway: if you see something in the $10 – $15 range, jump on it instead of waiting for a better deal to come along.

You can almost always find a good sale at Old Navy, JCPenney, or the Children’s Place.
What we especially love about these stores is that they sell Christmas pajamas as sets, not as individual pieces. As we’re checking the prices on these pajamas constantly this holiday season, we noticed that Old Navy, JCPenney, The Children’s Place, and Carter’s almost always have either a special markdown or special savings codes on Christmas pajamas.
At Carter’s, you can take an extra 20% off your first purchase, even ON TOP of sales.
Carter’s has been having up to 50% off sales on Christmas pajamas for nearly all of fall 2023. On Nov. 10, 2023, Carter’s had a special daily deal where you could get 60% off all Christmas pajama sets.
Also, here’s a little hack: if it’s your first time shopping at Carter’s or OshKosh online, you can sign up for an extra 20% off your first purchase. Just note that your order has to be $40 or more.
Or, you can sign up for text promos and unlock 15% off your purchase. When we tested it, we found that you could still apply these discounts ON TOP of sale items. We love to see it!
Watch for random discounts on Christmas pajamas at Target.
As we mentioned above, we’ve seen Cat & Jack Christmas go on sale for as low as $7 in the past. These discounts come and go, so you want to jump on them as they come (watch around Black Friday).
Otherwise, you can save 5% on your purchase if you have a Target RedCard.
