If you bought any Fairlife milk or Fair Oaks Farm dairy products lately, you might be entitled to some (milk) money.

Coca-Cola (Fairlife’s parent company) and Fair Oaks Farm have agreed to pay a $21 million settlement with their customers, and some of that money could be yours.

Fairlife and Fair Oaks Farm have been sued for their advertising about the ethical treatment of the cows used for their dairy products. The dairies have admitted no wrongdoing, but they have agreed on the settlement.

So, what is the settlement for? Are you qualified? How much money can you expect and when? We have everything you need to know.

Which Fairlife milk products qualify for the claim?

If you bought any of the below items, then you’re able to join the “class” and are entitled to a portion of the settlement:

  • Fair Oaks Farm Ice Cream
  • Fair Oaks Farm Butter
  • Fair Oaks Farm Yogurt
  • Fair Oaks Farm Eggnog
  • Fairlife Ultra-filtered Milk

Check the complete list of qualifying items on the Fairlife settlement website for specific sizes and product codes.

How do you qualify to make a claim?

If you bought one or more of the listed items before April 27, 2022, then you qualify for the claim.

To make a claim, visit the “Submit Claim” page at fairlifemilksettlement.com and fill out your name, address, phone number, and email address. Then select the product(s) you bought and the quantity, and upload your proof of purchase.

If your claim is approved, you will receive an email where you can pick how you want to receive payment: digital debit card, PayPal, or paper check. Deadline for submitting a claim is December 27, 2022.

How much money is each person getting?

The short answer is you’ll get back 25% of the purchase price of your Fairlife products.

But if you don’t have a receipt or other valid proof of purchase, the most you can get is $20. If you do have a receipt, the most you can get is $80 (although some confusing language on the settlement website says you could actually get up to $100).

When will payments be sent out?

We aren’t sure of the exact date, but we know the final court hearing is Sept. 28, 2022. We’ve seen class action settlements begin to send out payments around 90 days after the final hearing.
