The catch is that the number of offers you need to redeem is different for every account. In 2024, existing users could earn up to $40 in bonus cash, and in 2023, everyone got 100% cash back on a full meal (limited to five select items, though).

• Completing the bonus doesn't pay you: It only unlocks the offer. You still need to add the turkey to your list, buy it, and submit your receipt.

• A new side drops every Tuesday: Starting Nov. 3, Ibotta releases a free side offer each Tuesday in November. Supplies are limited, so check the app early.

• Scan the barcode in store: Use the Ibotta app to scan the product barcode before you buy to confirm it qualifies.

How to Unlock Your Free Turkey

1. Unlock: Download the Ibotta app, find your Thanksgiving Turkey bonus, and redeem offers until the progress bar is complete. In-store offers, online grocery offers, and other offer types can count, so pick the ones you'd buy anyway.

2. Wait for the offer: Once you finish, your Any Brand Turkey offer shows up in the app within two hours.

3. Add: Add the unlocked turkey offer to Your list before you shop.

4. Shop: Buy an eligible turkey at a participating store and scan the barcode in the app to confirm it qualifies.

5. Redeem: Submit your receipt in the app and get your cash back.

Keep in mind that the bonus has to be completed before the promotion ends, so don't wait until the week of Thanksgiving to start.

A New Free Side Drops Every Tuesday in November

Starting Nov. 3, Ibotta releases a new side offer at 100% cash back every Tuesday while supplies last. Check the app Tuesday morning to see what that week's offer is. Last year's drops landed on Mondays, so mark the new day.

How It Worked:

1. Download the Ibotta app and register for a new account between Nov. 1 - 23, 2025.

2. Add the 5 "Thanksgiving Dinner On Us" offers to your account.

3. Buy the items at any participating grocery store (Walmart, Target, Kroger, Publix, etc.).

4. Upload your receipt(s) showing proof of purchase within 7 days of purchase.

5. Get your cash back credited to your Ibotta account.
