The closure is urgent. So urgent, in fact, that Jenny Craig locations are reportedly calling current customers offering free food before their doors shutter completely. In some cases, office furniture and equipment are also up for grabs.
The weight loss business category is one that has long been struggling, with companies like WW International (formerly known as Weight Watchers) looking for new ways to rake in revenue. For example, WW acquired telehealth platform Sequence in March 2023. This allows them the ability to offer customers access to prescription injectables like Ozempic.
