Youth on Course is a program that helps make golf accessible and affordable to children 6 - 18. With a Youth on Course membership, your child(ren) can play an unlimited number of rounds at courses across the U.S. for $5 or less per round.
Although this isn't one of the many free kids' activities we've found, it's pretty close. The Youth on Course membership typically costs $5 - $65 per year. But thanks to the partnership between the Bank of America Golf with Us program and the Youth on Course program, kids can get a 1-year membership for free. This offer ends on June 15, 2025.

Youth on Course offers kids rounds of golf for $5 or less.
Youth on Course is a non-profit organization that helps make it easier for kids to play a round of golf on real courses for $5 or less. Although Youth on Course has an annual membership fee of $5 - $65 (varies by region), this year, Bank of America's Golf on Us program teamed up with Youth on Course to offer kids a 1-year Youth on Course membership for free.
Register your kids for the FREE 1-year Youth on Course before June 15.
The registration deadline for the free 1-year Youth on Course membership is June 15. Once you've registered, your child(ren) will have 365 days from that date to play an unlimited number of rounds at golf courses across the U.S.
If you have more than one child to sign up, just check the "Add Another Member" box in Step 2 of the registration form.
The free 1-year membership is for children who don't have or have not previously had a Youth on Course membership.
Use the course directory to find participating golf courses for the Youth on Course program.
Youth on Course has a golf course directory (with thousands of courses) that you can search by state, golf course, or specified location. It also allows you to narrow your search by distance from a certain ZIP code, or city or state, and rates. The search results will show you the course address, phone number, available days, tee times, and Youth on Course rates for nine and 18 holes.

In order to get the Youth on Course rate, you'll need to show your membership card located in the Youth on Course app whenever you visit a participating course. Note that you can search the course directory in the Youth on Course app as well.
Youth on Course membership doesn't include any golfing equipment.
Golf equipment, such as shoes, clubs, range balls, and cart fees aren't included in Youth on Course memberships. Contact your nearby participating course to confirm any equipment requirements. If you're required to have certain equipment, skip buying new. Instead look at secondhand sporting goods stores like Play It Again Sports.
Your Youth on Course membership will terminate after your free year unless you renew it.
When your free 1-year Youth on Course membership is up, it'll automatically terminate. However, you can renew your membership at a rate set by your state. Don't worry, you'll know how much and when your free membership ends during registration (in Step 2).

Renew your Youth on Course membership after your current membership expires, and request financial assistance if needed.
If you'd like renew your Youth on Course membership, wait until your current membership expires, and then reregister at YouthOnCourse.com. If you'd like to renew your child's membership but can't afford the renewal fee, Youth on Course offers financial assistance. You can apply online. It will take 4 - 5 days to receive a decision.
Financial assistance is not available in the following U.S. states and areas:
Chicago
Michigan
Oregon
Southern Nevada (Vegas)
Utah
Washington

Is there a limit to the number of rounds or courses Youth on Course members can play?
No, there's no limit to the number of rounds or courses your kids can play. Note that each golf course sets their own availability and policies.
Do Youth on Course members require adult supervision while on the golf course?
Adult supervision requirements are set by the participating golf course. We suggest you check the course directory (mentioned above) for any restrictions or call your local course before heading out to confirm requirements.
What happens when a member turns 19 during their Youth on Course membership?
Once your child turns 19, they'll no longer play at the $5 or less rate. Golfers who wish to continue can sign up for the $20 Youth on Course Alumni annual membership.
