Is there a free trial for Sling TV?

Sling TV channels deal shown on a phone screen near television

Unfortunately, there’s no free trial for the Orange or Blue Sling TV plans — but the Sling Freestream is a great, free way to get to know Sling without so much as giving them your credit card.

But if you wanna try out the paid plans, know that you’ll get half off your first month of Sling TV no matter which plan you choose. That means the Blue or Orange plan is going to be $17.50, and the combination Orange and Blue plan will be $25 for your first month.

TIP: If you’re a new Sling TV subscriber, make sure to prepay for two months of service to get a freebie worth up to $79.99. In the past, we’ve seen them give out free Fire TV Sticks and AirTV Mini streaming devices.

Does Sling TV have shows on demand?

Yes, Sling TV does have tons of shows on demand, regardless of if you have Freestream or one of the paid plans. Just head to the On Demand section to browse the offerings, or select the channel you want to watch, go to the channel details, go to the schedule, and check all the on-demand shows available on that channel.

Unfortunately, there are still commercials on on-demand content. Think of it like you’re watching a DVR-recorded program from a live channel. (Except you can’t fast-forward past commercials in this mode.)

How can I cancel my Sling TV subscription?

If you’re unsatisfied with your Sling TV subscription, here’s how you can delete your account. If you cancel your subscription before the current payment period ends, you’ll still have access to your shows until it ends.

  • Go to your “Account Dashboard”
  • Click on “Cancel Subscription”
  • Confirm your cancellation

You’ll receive an email confirming your cancellation. If you cancel before your billing period has ended, you’ll be able to keep watching Sling until that date.

What can you stream Sling TV on?

Another benefit to having Sling TV is having access to local channels. Not every location has access to local channels, so make sure to check the Sling TV website to see if you can get local stations on your Sling TV.

You’ll automatically have access to all the local FOX and ABC channels in your area through Sling TV at no additional cost.

Plus, there are several other ways you can watch live TV for free.

How does Sling TV compare to other live TV options?

woman's hand pointing remote toward TV with hulu app

TIP: Here’s everything you need to know about watching TV without paying for cable.
