Amazon's October Prime Day event (Prime Big Deal Days) runs Oct. 8 - 9, and if you can't wait until Black Friday to replace your TV, it's a great time to find one on sale. During July's Prime Day sale, for example, we saw slashed prices of up to 50% off Amazon Fire Smart TVs.
No matter when you’re shopping for TVs, we’ve found you should always aim for savings of at least 40% – 50%. And those savings are totally possible during Amazon's biggest sales, including Prime Big Deal Days.
Be sure to stay on top of Prime Day deals this fall and beyond by downloading the KCL app and following our October Prime Day tips and deals feed. You can also text AMAZON to 57299 for deals sent straight to you.
Early TV deals are already popping up for Prime Big Deal Days in October.

Amazon Fire TV (50 inches) 4-Series 4K UHD smart TV for 33% off ($299.98). This isn't quite the lowest price we've seen (it dipped $20 cheaper in July).

Remember that you may be able to get a price match on TVs at Target and Best Buy.
If you see a hot Amazon deal, don’t forget that you may be able to match Amazon’s price at another store, which could benefit you if you’re a loyalty member or credit card holder at that retailer. Price matching on TVs can be tricky because stores generally require you to prove the TV you saw on sale has the same make and model number as the one they have. That said:
Target will price match Amazon, as long as it’s the exact same model number and is sold and shipped by Amazon. Call (800) 591-3869 or use the Target customer service chat to start the process online.
Best Buy price matches Amazon, but you’ll have to submit your requests online or by calling (888) 237-8289.
Walmart no longer price matches with other stores, but stores will match their Walmart.com prices.
Amazon doesn’t price match.
