Amazon Prime Day is a smart time to look for standout deals, especially on pricey electronics like TVs. And even though the next Prime Day sale isn't expected until October (we predict Oct. 8), it's not too soon to start planning for the discounts. During the July Prime Day sale, we saw slashed prices of up to 50% off Amazon Fire Smart TVs.
No matter when you’re shopping for TVs, we’ve found you should always aim for savings of at least 40% – 50%. And those savings are totally possible during Prime Day TV sales.

Fire TV sticks can turn any standard TV into a smart TV pretty easily and affordably. You won't have any trouble finding Fire TV Sticks discounted by 40% – 54% off for Prime Day.

Remember that you can ask for a price match on TVs at Target, Walmart, and Best Buy.
If you see a hot Amazon deal, don’t forget that you may be able to match Amazon’s price at another store, which could benefit you if you’re a loyalty member or credit card holder at that retailer.
Target will price match Amazon, as long as it’s the exact same model number and is sold and shipped by Amazon. Call (800) 591-3869 or use the Target customer service chat to start the process online.
Best Buy price matches Amazon, but you’ll have to submit your requests online or by calling (888) 237-8289.
Walmart no longer price matches with other stores, but stores will match their Walmart.com prices.
Amazon doesn’t price match.
