Folks, it’s time to begin your annual Trader Joe’s pumpkin pilgrimage. Because the answer to “does Trader Joe’s have pumpkin yet?” is now a resounding yes! Grab your PSL (that’s a Pumpkin Spice Latte if you’re not in the know), then follow your nose to the motherland of that sweet, sweet musky squash we all love — and soon will look like.
In years past, Trader Joe’s released pumpkin things around the second week of September, so it looks like they were only a few days ahead of schedule this year. As mentioned in their blog post from Sept. 8, the pumpkin products have officially hit the shelves for 2023!
Although these pumpkin items are popping up at many locations, not all stores will stock all of your fall delights just yet. Check your Trader Joe’s location for updates.

Remember — Trader Joe’s products are always cheaper in the store (versus buying on Amazon).
Don’t get fooled into buying Trader Joe’s products on Amazon, especially during the holidays. Those “Trader Joe’s” items you see on Amazon are sold by third-party sellers who will often inflate the price.
A handful of pumpkin spice products are cheaper at Trader Joe’s compared to Walmart.
1. Pumpkin O’s Cereal: $2.99 (Cheaper than Pumpkin Spice Cheerios at Walmart)
You’d pay $4.93 for an 18.5-ounce box of Pumpkin Spice Cheerios at Walmart, so this Trader Joe’s version is actually 7% cheaper per ounce.
2. Organic Pumpkin Puree: $2.49 (Cheaper than Walmart)
This is a good price for organic pumpkin puree, as Walmart has the same size can for $3.98.
3. Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Butter: $2.99 (Cheaper than Walmart)
Even Walmart’s Great Value Pumpkin Butter ($3.47 for 10.15 ounces) can’t compete with the price on this Trader Joe’s item.
4. Pumpkin Spice Cream Cheese Spread, $2.49 (Cheaper than Walmart)
The pumpkin spice flavor of Philadelphia cream cheese is $3.98 at Walmart (and currently out of stock at my location), so this Trader Joe’s find is 37% cheaper!
5. Non-Fat Pumpkin Greek Yogurt, $0.99
This Trader Joe’s item in the dairy section is 19% cheaper than the Chobani Pumpkin Spice Greek Yogurt yogurt at Walmart ($1.22).

6. Pumpkin Brioche Twist: $4.99
The only equivalent I could find that’s cheaper than this is the Bake Shop Pumpkin Sliced Loaf Cake at Aldi for $3.45.

I did find a better deal at Walmart for this one — their Great Value Pumpkin Spice Pancake & Waffle Mix is just $1.97 for a 16-ounce box, which is 37% cheaper per ounce.
11. Pumpkin Pie Spice, $2.99
You’ll actually get a better deal if you shop for pumpkin pie spice at Walmart instead, where you’ll pay $1.12 per ounce — instead of Trader Joe’s $1.66 per ounce.
