I’m a chocolate chip cookie snob, and until I made this recipe I thought I had the very best recipe out there. But guess what? There’s a new chocolate chip cookie in town. And who knew that adding a box of vanilla instant pudding makes cookies amazing??
Vanilla Pudding Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 cup butter, at room temperature – $0.96
3/4 cup brown sugar – $0.27
1/4 cup sugar – $0.08
3 oz package vanilla instant pudding mix – $0.96
2 large eggs – $0.22
1 tsp vanilla extract – $0.03
2 1/4 cups flour – $0.21
1 tsp baking soda – $0.02
1/2 tsp salt – $0.01
1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips – $1.42
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
2. Using a mixer, beat together butter, brown sugar and white sugar until creamy. Add in pudding mix, eggs and vanilla extract. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda and salt. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.
4. Drop the cookie dough by rounded tablespoons onto prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove cookies from oven and let cool a few minutes before serving.
