Dollar General always announces their Days of Beauty event with a free Beauty Box giveaway.
To generate buzz for their Days of Beauty event, Dollar General always hosts a free Beauty Box giveaway online about a month before the event. If the pattern continues from what we saw in 2022 and 2023, we should expect to hear an announcement about the next Dollar General Days of Beauty 2024 giveaway sometime around June 11, 2024.
Once they announce the official dates for the 2024 Days of Beauty event, you’re going to want to be among the first to register to get a free Beauty Box. In 2023, the first 5,000 people to register for the event online could receive a free Beauty Box in the mail.
The Dollar General Beauty Box is filled with goodies from brands like Dove, Curl Rhythm, Olay, Keratin Color, and more.

What is the Dollar General Days of Beauty event?
This free virtual event usually takes place the second week in July. The most recent event happened July 10 – 15, 2023, and we expect the next one to take place July 9 – 13, 2024. Influencers and celebrities share their fitness routines, morning rituals, and beauty know-how, all with a focus on multicultural women’s beauty.
Each day focuses on a different topic, but the final day (Saturday) is the most talked about. That’s when a celebrity guest (in 2023 it was Lauren Speed-Hamilton from Netflix’s “Love is Blind”) does a live virtual interview to talk about beauty routines and answer questions from viewers. You can register to get notified of the event on the Dollar General website.
The first round of 5,000 free Beauty Boxes sells out fast in June, so you have to be quick.
Almost as soon as Dollar General announced the free Beauty Boxes in 2023, they sold out! DG only made them available to the first 5,000 people who registered for the event. And after that, the free boxes were no longer available to new registrants. But you could still register online to stay in the loop about the schedule of events.
TIP: If you were lucky enough to sign up early, you received an email or text confirming that your Beauty Box was on the way.
But they do another giveaway of two free Beauty Boxes during the Days of Beauty event in July.
If you don’t snag one of the first 5,000 Beauty Boxes, you have a (tiny) chance to win one during the actual event.
In 2023, they gave away two free boxes starting on Thursday, July 13, through Thursday, July 20. To get entered to win, you just had to follow Dollar General Beauty and Dollar General on Instagram, like their giveaway post, and tag a fellow beauty lover for more entries.
Don’t bother checking your Dollar General store for any festivities — this event is online only.
Unlike a typical Dollar General event (like the Dollar General clearance event we know and love), the Dollar General Days of Beauty event is always virtual. You’ll visit the website during the event to watch tutorials from influencers and hear about the featured products.
