Oh, how I love Hobby Lobby. Any excuse to go shopping and save money there — sign me up! The Hobby Lobby Black Friday sale is one of my favorite Black Friday sales because I don’t have to stalk the Hobby Lobby sale schedule and wait for my favorite items to get marked down.
But with so many things on sale — like 75% – 90% off fall decor and 50% off Christmas decor — you’ll need a game plan to identify the absolute best Hobby Lobby Black Friday deals of them all.
I’ll give you a hint: the best deals are always the fall items, which are marked down by 90% if you shop in stores. If you shop for fall items online, the savings usually max out at 75%. And you’ll face hefty shipping fees. But we do tend to see a Hobby Lobby free shipping promotion pop up for orders of $50+ from Thanksgiving until Cyber Monday.

KCL predicts the next Hobby Lobby Black Friday Sale will begin Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024.
Hobby Lobby hasn’t officially announced the next date for their Black Friday sale, but based on what they've done in recent years, we here at KCL predict that it’ll take place between Sunday, Nov. 24, and Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024.
How do we make our prediction?
Hobby Lobby has experimented with different lengths and date ranges for their Black Friday Sale, but more often than not, it takes place starting the Sunday before Thanksgiving (online, or Monday in-stores), running through the Saturday afterward. We expect the same format in 2024.
1. The Hobby Lobby Black Friday “sale” runs for a whole week (but it’s kinda like their normal weekly sales).
The Black Friday sale at Hobby Lobby isn’t exactly a separate sale. It’s just the deals that happen to go live during the week of Thanksgiving and Black Friday. But since Hobby Lobby’s weekly sales always follow a regular pattern, it’s pretty easy to predict when the next sale will happen.
Based on their weekly sale pattern, you can expect the next Hobby Lobby Black Friday sale to start online on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024, with the deals kicking off in stores on Monday, Nov. 25 (since they’re closed on Sundays). The deals in both places will last until Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024.
2. Hobby Lobby opens early on Black Friday at 8 a.m. with extended hours through 9 p.m.
Traditionally, the store opens at 9 a.m., so this gives you an extra hour to shop during the sale. Their closing hours also get extended to 9 p.m. on Black Friday and the Saturday after Thanksgiving — which is an hour later than usual. Two extra hours to shop? We’ll take it.
Is Hobby Lobby open on Thanksgiving 2024?
Hobby Lobby is one of those stores that is always closed on Thanksgiving Day, and we expect them to be closed on Thanksgiving Day in 2024, too. But they’ll reopen the next day, on Black Friday at 8 a.m.
3. Expect the next Hobby Lobby Black Friday ad to drop on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024.
In 2023, the Hobby Lobby Black Friday ad dropped on Sunday, Nov. 19. But the one-page ad that comes out is just like their normal weekly ads — showing all the deals valid during Black Friday week.
You’ll typically find 50% off Christmas categories like Christmas trees and ornaments. We also usually see 75% off fall decor, crafts, and floral online, but those savings on fall items jump to 90% off in stores.

5. You can shop the Black Friday sale in-store or online — but in-store deals are usually better.
You can take advantage of the Black Friday deals at Hobby Lobby either in-store or online, but since Hobby Lobby stores are closed on Sundays, the first day of the sale (the Sunday before Thanksgiving) happens online only.
Hobby Lobby doesn’t have in-store pickup, but you can look for a free shipping coupon during the week of Black Friday to save on shipping costs and avoid the in-store rush.

6. Save on early Black Friday purchases with the Hobby Lobby price adjustment policy.
Hobby Lobby will do price adjustments for up to 14 days after you make a purchase. That means that if you buy something in the days leading up to Black Friday, make sure you hang on to your receipt so you can try for a price adjustment.
The downside: you have to bring your receipt AND the item back into the store. So even if you’ve already used it in a project … you gotta bring it back in. Take that into consideration when you try to decide if a price adjustment makes sense.
TIP: Hobby Lobby doesn’t price adjust their clearance (aka “Reduced”) items.
7. You have 90 days to return your in-store purchases with a receipt.
The Hobby Lobby return policy will give you up to 90 days to make your return for in-store purchases. Your refund is issued via your original method of payment. Without a receipt, you can exchange your item or get store credit for the lowest selling price within the last 60 days.
To return an online order via mail, you’ll have to download the Hobby Lobby Return Form, print it, fill it out, and include it with your shipment back to the retailer.
If you need to return an online order, just know that they won’t refund any shipping fees (which start at $7.95 for orders up to $15), unless the reason for the return is their fault.
