Walgreens' myW Days Isn't Happening in July — Here's What to Know

We were totally looking forward to the return of Walgreens’ myW Days event this July, but our team at The Krazy Coupon Lady has confirmed with Walgreens that a summer event is not happening in 2024.

Last summer’s event was the first time we ever saw a Walgreens savings event just for myWalgreens members, and it was so popular that they brought it back in October 2023, too. So our deal-hunting fingers are crossed that we’ll see a myW Days return this October.

Unlike other “sales” that involve deals on specific items, the myW Days event consists of daily digital offers that give you opportunities to earn bonus Walgreens Cash (at up to 15 times the normal rate). During the last go-around, some savvy KCL staffers were able to earn $144 – $176 in free Walgreens Cash rewards that they could spend on future purchases!

Walgreens' myW Days is a multi-day event that lets loyalty members earn extra Walgreens Cash.

The myW Days event is a week full of increased opportunities to get cash-back for your Walgreens purchases. These bonus offers come in the form of Walgreens Cash (which you can spend like a store gift card).

Each day of the sale has a different Walgreens Cash offer. Some offers require you to buy something specific (like Walgreens-branded items) to get 15% back in Walgreens Cash, while others give you a specific dollar amount in Walgreens Cash when you hit a spending threshold.

KCL predicts the next myW Days will begin Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2024.

Walgreens hasn’t officially announced the next date for their myW Days event, but based on what they did last year, we here at KCL predict that it’ll take place Oct. 2 - 5, 2024.

How do we make our prediction?

Last year's myW Days happened Wednesday, Oct. 4 - Saturday, Oct. 7, 2023. So if they're going for the same timeframe this fall, that would put the dates at Wednesday, Oct. 2 - Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024.

And the dates typically correspond nicely with the other big sales that happen in early October:

• Target Circle Week: predicted Oct. 6 - 12, 2024

• Walmart Deals Event: predicted Oct. 7 - 10, 2024

• Amazon Prime Big Deal Days: predicted Oct. 8 - 9, 2024

How to Shop Walgreens' myW Days Like a Pro

1. Shop myW Days deals in store, online, or in the Walgreens app.

MyW deals are available at each Walgreens location, as well as Walgreens.com and in the Walgreens app. You can order online and get free in-store pickup, or choose one-hour delivery for an additional fee.

KCL TIP: If you’re planning to submit your Walgreens receipts for any cash back rebates (like Ibotta), make sure to ask the employee for your printed receipt before you pick up your order in the store.

2. Earn 15% Walgreens Cash rewards on all purchases during myW Days (versus the usual 1% – 5%).

You typically earn just 5% in rewards on Walgreens-branded purchases and 1% on everything else, so the myW Days offer gives you up to 15x the Walgreens Cash. When the event is live, you just need to clip the offer before you make a purchase.

KCL TIP: During MyW Days in July 2023, you could earn 25% in Walgreens Cash, but they dialed it down to 15% for the October event.

3. Clip the daily offers to earn additional Walgreens Cash on your purchases.

The offers change daily, and the best part is that they’re typically stackable with the event-long bonus offer (like “Earn 15% Walgreens Cash on all purchases”).

So in 2023, you could actually earn up to 30% in Walgreens Cash just by stacking a one-day 15% Walgreens Cash bonus with the event-long 15% Walgreens Cash offer.

Past daily offers during myW Days:

• 30% Walgreens Cash back on your most-shopped category

• 25% off $20 or 30% off $60 with a promo code

• $10 in Walgreens Cash on a pickup order of $10 or more

• $10 in Walgreens Cash when you spend $20 or more on groceries, snacks, or beverages

• $15 in Walgreens Cash when you spend $30 or more online or in-store

• $15 in Walgreens Cash when you spend $35 or more in the app

• $20 in Walgreens Cash when you spend $45 or more on beauty and personal care

• $20 Walgreens Cash when you clip and redeem at least three myW Days offers

4. Stack myW Days deals with coupons and cash-back rebate offers to lower your out-of-pocket cost.

Stacking huge bonus rewards with sale prices, promotions, and digital coupons amounted to several opportunities for very cheap or even free shopping hauls during the last myW Days in October. Our team at KCL was able to grab 26 rolls of Scott and Bounty paper towels for free after rewards!

KCL TIP: The amount of Walgreens Cash rewards you earn gets calculated after discounts are applied (and before taxes and shipping fees are factored in).

5. If you're 55 or older, stack your Walgreens senior discount with myW Days offers.

Last October, the dates of myW Days overlapped with Walgreens’ Senior Day savings, which let you save 20% on regular-priced online purchases from Oct. 1 – 7.
